Spring time in Germany has presented an opportunity:
-
I am very glad my video helped you out! That is exactly why I made it. If I get some time later this summer, I might adventure out and make a video on how to remove your front bumper. It seems like a lot of people are wondering how to do it and there only seems to be pictures out there. So that will give me another opportunity to help everyone out again. Your wheels look great! Even your curb check looks good. I know how you feel about every little mistake. I see all of mine lol. The good thing is that Plasti-Dip is very forgiving and really cheap. I just wish I could buy some over here. I could really use about 2 cans.

I like having the option to revert back to chrome if I want. Not everyone has the same amount of money in their pockets, so plasti-dip is the best option for me.

Good advice. I'm not sure when I can get them tinted, but I don't want it to be a hazard. Just a little more privacy and reduce the amount of sun coming in. I think I would be able to see the instrument panel better when the sun is directly on it with tinted windows.

Oh, that's not good. The only option you would have had is to send the units back to him before installing them. You probably don't the OEM units anymore, huh?

Hey Jackman, I don't have a white Edge, but I dipped my 18" wheels on my '11 Limited. Here is a side pic of my wheels. I wiped them down, so the tire looks wet/shiny. It's been raining here in Germany, so they were a little dirty. I dipped them back in Nov of last year and they are still in great condition and provided awesome protection through last winter. I made a thread of how to dip your wheels a while back. Check it out if you haven't: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11507-how-to-plasti-dip-your-rims-video-tutorial/ You could always tell your wife that you will show her how it looks. The materials only cost about 20 bucks and if she doesn't like it, you can just peel it off.

Thanks Perf!

Check out this post I made a bit ago. The links aren't valid anymore but the steps should still be the same in my post. Taking your front bumper off is pretty simple. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11803-12-sel-grill-replacement/?p=89882 Other than that, Cal3's post is should be pretty much it.

I have addressed this issue with him and he let me know that he places silica packs in the headlights now to take care of/reduce this effect. My lights are on order and should be done soon. I'm very excited about these and can't wait to get them installed!

Nice! Great job on the Dipping. Your Edge looks clean :shades:

I feel like I need to tint my front windows.

They do sound quite practical. Would anyone with these installed post some pics for me? I understand how they work and don't need close-up shots. I would like to see the "whole vehicle" image with them installed. You're right, the models of ole have burnt an ever lasting impression in my mind. They seriously scare me. So I'm open to new impressions.

I have never mustered enough courage to put those things on my car, can't stand how they look. I bought a used car once that had them installed and it was the first thing I removed after I had the title lol. Just my opinion though ^_^

Just want to say that I think your post was awesome! I love the transition from the first paragraph to the second. Welcome to the forum and I hope someone can help the issues with your Dad's Edge. Sadly, that is not me.

I know nothing about this... But I think Whiteis33 does :shades:. Maybe send him a message or hope he sees this post. GL!- 6 replies

I have posted about this problem before. I havent opened the window while its raining, but the same happens to me when i use the wipers. If there is water on the windshield and the window is cracked the wipers will guide the water right into the car. Same happens if i make a right turn and the windows are down or I'm driving and spray the windshield wipers. All that cleaner will come into the car or down the side of the window. Very annoying.

Thanks! Nope, that's plasti-dip, same with the grill. I posted a thread about dipping your rims a while back. Made a step-by-step video for it too.

True, my son is 2 months old today. He demands a lot of my time (insert emote of dirty diaper here). I am around the forums, just not a lot of time to post. Things are pretty quiet on the Edge front line. Just waiting on my new set of headlights to finish, then you will see me again lol

It's been raining a lot here lately.

-LED Qty: Ultra Bright LED (6 Daytime Running White+6 Yellow Turn LED for each) -POWER:10w -Intensity: High Intensity 70-90LM Light Source Seriously week light output. I agree with your DTBL statement. For $200 I would wait for KC's new switchback runners to come out. Not sure what they are going to cost, but you will definitely be getting your money's worth.
