Welcome! Sucks that you had those minor problems when you got your Edge. My Edge was delivered through Military Car Sales here in Germany. When I picked it up it looked like one of my FOBs was chewed up by a dog and had a few minor scratches on the car (hardly visible). Luckily, they paid for all that on the spot. I'm PCS'ing back to Korea next year. Can't wait to be back. How long are you there for?

Just did this quickie to KLER.. -
I actually found that taking the headlight units off of the vehicle is a much easier way to replace bulbs. Just way more time consuming because you have to remove parts of the grill to get to the screws. Here is a thread I posted on removing your headlights: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12812-how-to-remove-headlights;-2011-models/?do=findComment&comment=99347 For the issue of your headlights fogging up, you could try dropping a silicon packet into the headlight unit. Should help with soaking up humidity. Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Dry-Packs-Cotton-Silica-Packet-Pack/dp/B0038N30OY LMAO! I definitely dropped some f-bombs when doing my HID conversion.

This also happens to me in cold weather. I hear a whistling sound for a minute after I start the vehicle, then after the breaks are warm there is no issue. I think its just the breaks needing to warm up a bit.

Yeah, firewood is used in Korea. Mainly in the country side. Rich households have fake fireplaces in their houses. In the cities, most people live in apartments because a house needs land and land is uber expensive. In apartments and houses alike, in cities, it is uncommon to have a chimney. So a fireplace that burns real wood is not really available. One of the most common ways to heat in Korea is through heated floors. They do an excellent job of heating the whole house. I can't wait to get back to Korea. We are going to have so much fun traveling and eating delicious food! -

One cord would probably do it, but 1.5 cords would make the winter real comfortable. It can be pretty expensive to buy wood on the economy, so we normally buy on base. This is our last winter here before moving to Korea, so buying on base will allow us to buy exactly what we need. If we bought from the economy, we would have enough for 2 winters and we just can't buy that much this year. -

SYNC reboots with MP3 player
Cellbine replied to Banjoman's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I used to have this problem as well with my 80GB iPod. I ended up changing the usb cable to a new one and that seemed to resolve the problem. It only happened during the last version of MFT for me though. The reboot would trigger for me when I would navigate to search by playlist. I organize all my songs in playlists and select what I want to hear that way. As soon as I hit the playlist button, or navigated there by voice command, it would freeze and then reboot. After that I could use the device with no issues. Try changing your usb cable. -

Ambiant lighting keeps coming back on
Cellbine replied to cnysport2011's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Since I can remember, mine has always defaulted to light blue when I enter and exit the vehicle. When I turn it on, it switches to my last selected color. -
Also, the less coats you put on, the harder it will be to peel off.

New Discs and Pads - unexpected side-effect
Cellbine replied to EdgeGermany's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
The system is good if you are going to be in Europe for awhile. I think I looked into this a while back, or there were some posts on it before. Turns out that the one I looked at cost over 2k Euro. Way to expensive for me. I have less than a year here in Germany, so I wont be getting it. Our stand alone GPS is working fine. -
I'm sure it will provide some protection. I don't know how long it will last. If you want any kind of protection like an actual bumper protector, it will probably take a lot of coats. Because PD is so cheap, it is worth a try. Try applying 10 coats or so, that should only be about 1 bottle for how large the area is you want to apply it to. If it doesn't work out, you are only out ~$6 and you can turn around and buy the actual protector. The nice thing about PD is that it peels right off, if you do it right. Good luck. If you actually do this, post some pics so we can see how it turned out.
