  1. From all of the reviews that I have read on "Laser Jammers", none of them work %100 of the time. The code that you are looking for to receive which every COP hates, is a JTG.. Jam to Gun!! This means that the laser jammer worked successfully. The best companies out there manufacturing laser jammers have been countlessly tested time and time again and normally are only about 50% of the time accurate. No gun will ever work 100% so you are merely toying with getting a ticket no matter what, IMHO! Possible waste of money!
  2. Obvious typo it may be.... Isn't that the reason we asked??? Right? Don't bloat on obvious questions!!
  3. So new steps should be..... 1. Wash Vehicle 2. IRON X 3. Clay-Bar 4. Wash/Dry Vehicle 5. Polish Vehicle with [Wax/Sealant]??? Sorry for any confusions.. I just really don't understand the differences between Wax, Polish and Sealant.. Every website I read up on, has a different explanation and none seem to make sence. I guess what I am looking for is for someone to just explain what the steps should be and then also post links to the products in which you are talking about. I am a visual type learner and maybe thats why I am not understanding all of this properly.
  4. I can't speak for Arizona sun, but I do however live in Orlando Florida and I am sure we can compete with some of your sun, especially the Humidity. Other members have mentioned that it lasts a long time. Hell, at 8$ a can.. If it doesn't last, then just spray a new coat on there... There is a video on Youtube, were a kid sprayed his entire ROOF and WINDSHIELD of his car, just to demonstrate how easily it comes off.. It literally peeled off like a bandaid, LOL!
  5. I believe it all depends on the type of Tire and Rim package you go with. For instance, I used TSW wheels on my Edge, 22x9 along with the Yokohoma Parada Spec-X tires and I couldn't be happier. Coming from owning vehicles in the passed, lifted 10-12" and sitting on 38" tires, I know all about ride quality and how important it is. My Rims/Tires are so smooth I don't even hear them when rolling down the road.. And its smooth as Glass. MPG hasn't been effected much! Actually, I posted a pic on another forum of my Edge about three weeks ago on a road trip with my wife. Keep the cruise control on right at 70mph and averaged 23mpg.. Thats with 22's and a Cold air intake and the air set to non circulate and not on Max A/C. Pretty damn good for rolling 22's.
  6. "The Edge will go exclusively to the turbocharged 4-cylinder V6 engine"........... HUH? A 4 cylinder v6? Tell me I am missing something here.
  7. Depends on the offset. I have 22x9 TSW on my 07 Edge and they are 5x114.3 with a 40MM Offset and they are flush with my fenders!
  8. Care to share were you can get these 400$ springs for 178$??? I'd buy a set right now
  9. If you have a floor jack and jack stands, you can rent a spring compressor fairly cheap at your local "Discount Auto Parts" store and do the install yourself.. IT'S VERY EASY AND A SIMPLE SET OF INSTRUCTIONS could have you set up in about 2hrs time.. IN THIS ECONOMY, save money wherever you can! Also remember, that an alignment is going to be needed on this after the install so factor in about 50-70$ for that. You may also need an "Alignment Cam & Bolt Kit" which will take your negative camber and allow it to be in the correct margin that it needs. When raising or lowering vehicles at times, the vehicle will go out of camber and a "normal" alignment won't get it back into the correct #'s without a "Camber Kit"
  10. I see people speaking of using the Scion bumper protector for Edges alot. Might I ask which Model scion this is? And why not just buy the bumper protector specific for the Edge? Whats the benefit to using the Scion?
  11. 850$ For a LIKE NEW rim! Not bad! Better off getting the Limited and then getting these! You'd never know they were even used.. Half the price that Ford wants. LOL@Ford.bmp
  12. I know that "Rice Burners" normally have the air filter then a water proof filter then the piping.. I would assume that it would be somewhat the same application in this case. Filter then water proof canister then Turbo. And there is no real way to keep it free of elements... It will need to be cleaned monthly and depending on weather, weekly. Those stats I got are directly from the STS website were the gentlemen doing this JOB bought his Turbo kit. It isn't specific to the EDGE, its a GENERIC turbo kit. Attached photo has the Water Proof thingy, I was talking about. cai.bmp
  13. Supposed BENEFITS of a REAR mounted TURBO! I could see some of these benefiting but maybe not on all of them? Lower underhood temperatures. No need to worry about melting wires, hoses, or other engine components, as with a front-mounted turbo. Ease of installation. STS turbo systems can be installed in about 8 hours with standard tools and average mechanical ability. Cooler oil to the turbo. Cool oil is better for both the turbo and engine. Performance Sound. The turbo acts as a muffler and sounds like an aftermarket performance muffler. Turbo spool and rushing air from the blow-off valve make a unique sound that will turn heads! No need for major modifications to your vehicle. STS systems are designed to "bolt-on" to factory mounts. Increased gas mileage. Unlike a belt driven supercharger, the turbo utilizes "wasted" energy leaving your tailpipe. Most of our customers get 1-3 mpg increase in gas mileage compared to their original stock mpg numbers. Converts back to stock in about an hour. More room under the hood. Future repair work or modifications will not require the expense of removing the turbo system to allow access to engine components. Lowest Intake Air Temps. Low IAT's equate to more horsepower per pound of boost than any other forced induction option. STS intake piping provides built-in intercooling. Add the optional intercooler, and IAT's drop even further. Approximately 500F lower turbo temperatures. Eliminates the need for a turbo-timer, which allows the engine to run after the car is shut off in order to cool down the turbo and prevent oil and bearing damage. Denser exhaust gasses drive the turbo turbine wheel more efficiently. Turbo is exposed to ambient air rather than underhood air. Allows for better cooling of turbo components. No need for expensive headers, mufflers, or exhaust systems. Turbo is closer to the tail pipe outlet. Provides a better pressure differential across the turbine wheel which promotes better flow across turbine. Better weight transfer. Increases traction because the bulk of system is mounted in rear of vehicle rather than up front. Less noise and heat in the passenger compartment.
  14. I had a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge with a 3.0L Flex Fuel V6 in it. Gas sucked but then again, it was up 11" on 38's with 4:88 Yukons in the rear!
  15. Dingo found it, thats the one! I purchased that and installed it because I had the factory metal grill insert and it always was clogged with Dust and Lint! I don't know if the FRAM gave me better air flow but atleast I wont have to clean it so regularly!
  16. SICK!! You did an amazing job my friend. The 3M Products look really good but to be honest, they take a skill that not a lot of people have. The Plasti-Dip works really well and the more you use it, the better and better your technique gets.. I am so glad to hear that you wen't that direction, and it looks really good. Great MOD and a great JOB! +1
  17. Opening all of the vents would actually lessen the air flow. The blower only blows at one speed when on MAX A/C. So opening more valves would actually lessen the pressure and air flow. I did however, purchase a new cabin filter and it has seemed to of helped a bit. The filter was 27$ and DINGO and AKIRBY I believe were the ones to mentioned it. I think Arm and Hammer made it or something like that. I got it off Amazon and can look it up if anyone needs.
  18. This was awesome and actually exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the help mate!! +1 to you good sir!
  19. It is really easy stuff to use. Just remember, don't spray too close and don't GLOB it on.. Soft, smooth spray strokes at a reasonable distance and overlap it ever so l lightly. Make sure you don't get ahead of yourself and prep things properly. Spray in an area were there is little to no wind. Good luck, let us know how it looks.
  20. Eatinitup

    Bugs!

Morgan is still there yes, LOL that's too funny you said that.. Small ass world!!
  21. You can still use the 3M or you could just take the chrome pieces off or simply tape them off with painters tape and some newspaper. The plasti dip is some what thick so you don't have an over spray or mist to worry about in most cases. Once it dries, if you don't like it.. Peel a corner and peel it off. At roughly 9$ a can.. Its definitely the cheaper route to take.
  22. I agree with C_Bova. It literally is a spray on plastic application. Review it on youtube. You can clear coat it and wet sand the stuff as well and it won't hurt it and it peels off like a sticker.. Literally.
