FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter
Eatinitup replied to normcloutier's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
^ Had the exact same issue.. My 07' OEM filter is a plastic frame with wire mesh as the actual filter.. Actually works pretty well and I frequently clean it.. I switched over to the FRAM and hated it. Air on MAX was the equiv. to Setting 1 or 2 with the new filter.. The first generation Edges have very weak AC systems to begin with, so I couldn't take that big of a hit.. I took it out the next day and put the OEM back in. -
Sounds very good.. Gas Mileage from Orlando to Miami with the wind behind me was 20Mpg the entire way there @ just over 5-10mph of the speed limit and on cruise control. On the way home, I fueled up, drove into the wind the entire road trip home, 5-10mph over the speed limit was was worried that the vehicle would have to get used to the exhaust air flow.. I actually averaged 26.1 the entire trip home, and was very pleased with it. Sounds a bit louder than the 350z and Infiniti G35-37... All in all, a very nice rumble but not raspy. I wasn't a big fan of the exhaust and have actually knocked it on this forum a few times but I wanted to help the OP out because he was looking for an OEM system and this was FREE.. Had I of had the option to pay for it, I wouldn't have spent a dime on it. Orlando to Miami [location of install] was 259 miles.. Took me 5hrs with traffic on the way there and just at 4.5 on the way back.. My Edge has 22's on it and I was very pleased.. Cost me 100$ in gas round trip!

Trade was already done, last month. Should have updated, sorry for not doing that. It was a very well and all around simple process. Drove down to Miami, 30 mins to swap both exhaust systems and BOOM! "On the Road Again"... LOL

My iPhone 5S is updated to the current iOS software and I still have all notification settings under bluetooth and my 13' Titanium just received a text message, like normal.

Anytime would really be good, after this weekend. The wife and I would take a trip down there for the night, swap out exhaust and then hang on the beach for the day, most likely. It's about a 4hr drive if traffic is good. My email is Christopher.Lipsey@outlook.com. Shoot me an email and we'll take it off line and get details worked out better.

Ok, I am booked this weekend and seeing as its right around the corner, may be hard to set something up. When are you looking to do this? It'd be about a 4hr drive for me, not the end of the world..
-
Are you looking to ship or meet up and trade? I know it would be pretty easy to take off, just want to make sure that I have all the parts from your kit needed to hang it up with no problem. I'd definitely be down to do this.

What part of South Florida? I am in Orlando and have an 07 Edge with OEM exhaust. Also have a full shop garage with all tools needed and could easily partake in swapping these out, if that was the case.

I live in Orlando Florida so we get our fair share of Rain.. The tires perform in my opinion 10*'s all around. I haven't had them in snow, but other than that they have been amazing on dry, wet and dirt/muddy roads. I just ticked 100k on my Edge and got them on when I had 70k miles. I easily have at least 15k left out of them. For the price point, they are an amazing tire. Very quiet and wear very evenly. I bought them from Discount Tire so every 5k I get them balanced and rotated for FREE, which you can't beat. I will be putting Parada Spec X's on again, once these run out. Even with 30k on them, they are a very very very quiet tire.. No hum at all!

Apple Car Play-Maybe This Will Work With MFT
Eatinitup replied to ls973800's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
No... Probably not! Its only slated for a few models in 2014 and Ford is listed as a committed partner. most likely a 2015 model and up! IMHO -

By the time this even becomes real or a feature supported in what may be, a ford car.. You'r galaxy s4 will be obselete and years old.. -
With that little of a space an L7 will not sound good at all. Trust me, I have 2 of them in my Edge hooked up to a Kicker ZX S1500.1. I also ran the Kicker KS6x8 with a Kicker DX 400.4 and it sounds amazing. Probably the loudest system i've ever heard, besides a competition set up. Head unit I used was the Pioneer Avic Z150-BH

What do you use to keep tires shiny?

I tried the PERL that was recommended in the above posts.. I really liked it. It was I believe 15$/bottle and have really worked well for me. -
If you're trying to lose weight.. You shouldn't be drinking a pre workout and protein shake! Sounds like your building muscle by working out heavy and building muscle only results into gaining weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. IF you truly want to lose weight just go by the basis that your body will only lose weight if you're burning more calories in a day than you're taking in. Having said that.. Proportion your meals properly and run at night. I eat Turkey bacon and Turkey sausage for breakfast every day. For lunch I eat Chicken and Rice normally.. Very low serving and then for dinner i'll eat another meat/potato, just very small proportions.. I played football at UGA so I can somewhat lose weight fast, if needed. Last year I was 6'0 295lbs.. In 4 months, I was down to 230lbs, just by running daily and proportioning my meals properly. I don't eat fruits or vegetables at all. I am the pickiest, plane jane eater you'll ever meet.

Why don't you just install a set of Kicker KS 6x8's and call it a day.. Forget the tweeter! I installed 4 of these KS 6x8's in my Edge along with the Kicker DX 400.4 channel and its loud as hell. Also installed two 12' Kicker L7's in a customer kicker box along with the ZX Kicker Class D 1500.1 Mono Amp. Loudest system i've ever heard, honestly.. Head unit is the Pioneer AVIC Z150BH

God, its funny you say that.. I had a video on my phone of me "Punting" a bottle of that "linked shit, into my street".. It was awful as well... Maybe its because of living in FL were is generally always humid and hot, so nothing really every sets or dries that well.. I've detailed cars for years, I know the amounts to put.. Just seems everything I try, always slings shit everywhere. Including that expensive adams product. -
Looking at an '13 SEL, can someone pull the OASIS for me?
Eatinitup replied to acisne's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
The dealership you're buying from can pull the OASIS report for you. -
My 07 Edge came stock with 18's.. I upgraded to 22's and still get an average of 21mpg with city/highway and roughly 24mpg on Road Trips across the states.. I think the 10lbs per rim that I went up, didn't hurt much.. I think you're taking your personal frustrations out on the vehicle..

Good Front/Rear Door Speakers?
Eatinitup replied to mrtwohands's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I poked a hole in the rubber boot that went around my steering column. Once the power wire was through it, "0 Guage", I took some puddy/epoxy and mixed a batch up and pasted it around the hole to seal it up. I ran the power down the driver side of the car by taking the kick panels and stuff off.. Took a few minutes to remove everything because those clips going into the vehicle floorboard, can be a real pain in the ass to get loose. Once everything was prepped, I just peeled the carpet up a bit and tucked the power cable under it and fastened everything back up.. I did a rinse and repeat for the passenger side while running speaker cable and rca's/remote wire. -

My Kicker Mids/Highs were 6x8's. No specific model between the fronts and rears. I Just ordered two sets of 6x8 with the plug n play adapter so I didn't have to splice or cut wires and they dropped right in. As for the Subwoofer, I have no idea. I ran all my own wiring when I did my install. It was very easy, just time consuming becuase Power wire ran down one side of the vehicle and remote, speaker wire, rca's ran down the other side. -

Yes, the kickers offer a very good low/mid range sound. I was very pleased with them. The KS series is there nicest mid range set, before getting into uber expensive speakers that are like 300$ a pair. I picked mine up off of Amazon from a certified Kicker rep and spent 70$/pair for them and couldn't be happier. I'd say they are right in line with the Infinity Kappa series Mids/Highs which I have always had very good compliments on. These Kickers are very crisp/clear. I have run Kicker subs for years and they pound and are huge in the mid range class to entry level competition. I wanted this set up to be 100% kicker front to back so that way it was all the same company.
