  1. I have Camel interior. Glare has not been a problem and I live in Vegas. It's pretty much always sunny.
  2. You can change the volume on the steering wheel but that's about it. Can't wait for Triptunes to see if that is better. It was supposed to be available at the dealer by now. I wonder if they are even going to bother with Triptunes now that Sync is coming out next year.
  3. You're up there with the SUVs. You will like it. I can't drive a sedan because it feels like my butt is dragging on the ground. Perfect height for me and it's super roomy. I'm 6'2" and I don't even put the seat back all of the way.

    MPG??????

I'm pretty much do exclusive city driving in a FWD MKX. If I go on the freeway it's for 3-5 miles at a time maybe a few times a week. I get about 17.5 mpg. On one tank I did about 30 miles on the freeway and it put me up to 19.8 mpg for the tank. I do notice that I get better milage if I have the mpg tracker on. I had to shut it off because I found myself coasting all of the time and driving like a grandpa (actual quote from a friend in the car).
  5. I think you will regret not getting the MKX. It does have a better ride than the Edge. The ride is smoother and the MKX just feels more luxurious all around when you are in it. I didn't like the rear at first but I'm suprised how many people have told me how cool they think it is. The auto rear hatch and the heated and cooled seats rule. Get an MKX.
  6. OK, it's 50 degrees outside, my climate control is set on 85 and the A/C keeps coming on even though heat is pumping out. Does anyone know why this happens. It would make sense if the car was warm because it was sunny, but it's cold in the car, the heat comes on and the A/C is on. I keep having to switch off the A/C button because I think it's a waste to have the A/C on when the car is heating up. Is there something wrong with my system or does this happen to everyone?
  7. FWD MKX - I got 15 mpg with my first tank and 19.5 on the second. I had a pretty good mix of city and highway miles but no long trips.

  9. I went with Progressive on my MKX. I had the same problem online finding quotes.
  10. I thought I read that they were switching everything over to the "ice blue" starting with the new stuff coming out this year. I would guess that means the 08 Edge will go blue.
  11. Nice to hear you are happy, we could tell you were getting frustrated but in the end when you really want something it's not that big a deal to wait a little longer than you expected. At least you're not like that one poster who couldn't wait a few extra weeks and settled for a RAV4.
  12. That's a much higher sales rate than was initially projected for the MKX. Good to hear. I wonder how many they will sell in 07. I swear I read they were only projecting around 20-30,000 MKX sales this year.
  13. Anyone know the process that is used to ship these things out west? I swear they must be on a truck going about 15 mph. There have been a number of Edges on the dealer inventory list out here since before Christmas and none are on the lots yet. I can't figure out why it would take a truck 3 plus weeks to make a trip that a car can make in 3-4 days.
  14. The dealers are clueless because it hasn't been released yet. The trip tunes technology was announced last year as being available early 2007. It wasn't added to the Edge or the MKX but I believe it's supposed to be available as a dealer installed option sometime this month (which probably means next month). Ford Media - TripTunes
  15. I thought the Edge was being released with the new cap free technology.
