  1. I havn't been on in a while but we just got rid of our edge today. We did upgrade though! We just purchased a 2010 MKX with midnight limited edition, ultimate, elite packages. IT is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Factory 22" wheels!!! HID kits are sitting on the table but I need to order the relay harness. Pics will be posted when I finish.
  2. Edge's are not vehicles with glare when these kits are installed. We have not received 1 flash in the edge. However we got brighted all the time in our 04 maxima with factory hids.
  3. LMAO at all those pics and smart ass comments!! I fell out of my chair laughing. FYI I have an H11 McColloch kit for sale with 8k's I dropped the price to $200 shipped to get rid of them. Here is a link and it has some pics in there of my install http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1677
  4. Price drop. In an effort to clean house I am willing to drop down to $200
  5. 8k was just a choice for me. replacement bulbs can be purchased for this kit as well for around $60 for any color you perfer. I was going to do the fogs too, which is why I have an extra kit. Seems to be to much work though.
  6. you need the harness from ebay and a capacitor but if you have some experience it's not to hard.
  7. I have an extra h11 hid kit for sale $280 McCulloch ballast and h11 bulbs 8000k Here is a link to my installed pics http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1553
  8. I have an extra h11 hid kit with 8k bulbs for sale $280
  9. Send an email to the address above...my husband did the install and can better explain the installation process. It does not eliminate the high beams; they are still usable and unless you upgrade them to HID they will still be the OEM halogen (yellowish color).
  10. Most luxury imports come with them standard and some domestic vehicles offer them as an option. They are not an option for the Edge and I get lots of looks of confusion with them.
  11. HID = High Intensity Discharge. It refers to the color temperature of the light bulb. The higher the color temperature the more blue the light. HID lights are sometime referred to as Bi-Zenon. My Maxima came with 4300K (K= Kelvin) standard and they looked great because the optics were amazing in that car. I have 8000K in the Edge and they are very blue. I can see very well with the new lights and my husband refers to my Edge as a mini-Escalade as the headlights look very similar.
  12. This is a 8000k McCulloch HID kit. I still have all of my other lights factory but plan to upgrade. If anyone likes these pics I have an extra kit for sale. Shoot me an email to bluv69k@adelphia.net
  13. It's not just Ford, not many car manufacturers offer lumbar support for passenger seats. My friend has a new Infiniti and there is no lumbar support on the passenger seat (only drivers) same was true for my Maxima...only driver's side. Mustangs NEED lumbar support for ALL seats; so uncomfortable...same for the Ford Lightning; my husband's truck seats are terribly uncomfortable.
  14. I like the OEM grill. My husband, on the other hand, does not and was trying to steer me toward the MKX just for the grill. Whatever...If I went with the MKX it wouldn't be because of the grill...maybe the adaptive headlights or the cool square guages...but not just for the grill. I think Edge's grill makes the car look aggressive and as Ford describes it "bold". Just my opinion.
  15. From what I understand the Pioneer one also has a module to allow everything to work with steering wheel controls as well. I'll let you know when it's installed and which model I go with (Christmas present; so it will be after the New Year)...may look into the valor, it looks really nice. xtremedge808, Can you please post a few pics of the navigation source so I can see how it looks? Thanks!
  16. Got my SEL FWD for $30,000; well...financed $32,000 after rolling $2k of negative equity into it from my Maxima. MSRP was $33,500 Invoice was $31,500 Dealer was trying to move the 2007's so we got it for invoice and received $1,500 in incentives. I got black with charcoal interior, chrome clad wheels and all options except navigation because I want a backup camera so am doing camera/navigation aftermarket instead. Anyone drive both the AWD and FWD before buying? I drove both and noticed significantly more get-up-and-go from the FWD...that's why I got it instead of AWD. I'm very happy with my new ride; it's larger and cost less than my (old) 2004 Maxima! The guy in Raleigh did better than me...I"m just north of Charlotte in Mooresville, NC. (Race City USA)
  17. Thanks...I didn't see that. Never heard of it though. I think I'll stick with the Pioneer Avic D3...can get it for $600 as well; Friend owns car stereo shop so install is free.
  18. Hey, looks awesome; what brand & model number is this? I've been looking at a Pioneer unit that does all the same stuff...just wondering if it's the same one. Thanks.
  19. Haven't noticed any difference in textures. However, I did notice there is a bit of cloth on the bottom inner corners near the console; which I think is a bit odd. I've never seen anything like that before...normally when you get leather, you get ALL leather. At least that is my experience with all the Jap cars I've owned.

Nice wheels. I see something like this in my future as I just learned what "chrome clad" means AFTER purchasing the vehicle and joining this site!!
  21. My husband purchased 2 HID kits for my new Edge; one for low beams and one for the fogs. He said it looks a bit complicated to put the kit into the fogs and suggested just doing silver stars in the fogs instead. Does anyone have either HID's or Silver Stars in the fogs and do you have any pics? Honestly, I think my hubby just wants to put the extra HID kit in his Lightning...sneaky bastard.
  22. Hi, My husband just installed an 8000K H11 McCulloch HID kit (low beams only) on my 2007 SEL + that we bought last weekend. He ended up having to use the relays and I am hearing a very loud buzzing noise from INSIDE the car. He installed them last night and we went for a spin...no noise. The noise came this morning. I understand the ballasts will make a humming noise that you can hear outside the car; what I'm hearing is inside and it's really loud. It looks awesome; but damn it's annoying. Anyone have any advice? Do we need to plug capacitors into the relays? UPDATE: I did an online seach and it brought me to the Chrysler 300 & Dodge Charger forums where owners were having the same problem. They were plugging in a 470uF capacitor into each relay - it worked. NO MORE NOISE!!!!!!
