In fact there is a recall, I justed had it done on Wednesday here in Canada. My wife had problems with her cell phone (Motorola Razr V3) losing connection or with bad bluetooth performance ... Seems to be OK now ... time will tell. Oh ya, temperature is back in the middle screen ... Yeah ! Also, the interaction with my Ipod Touch (4th gen) seems to be faster including the first time it is "scanning" (indexing) the database ... Update for info ... Went back on winter tires last Friday (Nov. 15th) and self-learning process did it again !!! So in resume, this is the third wheel changes I did (Original chrome clad to and from Winter mags) with succes without reprogramming, without a warning message and with a TPMS fully working ... Did the low pressure test again today and warning came on ... Fill some air in it and gone is the message ...

I, for one, last fall, put up my winter tires on with new rims and 4 Ford original new sensors last October and never had to deal with programming them. I was ready for it, I had bought the programmer for it. 2 weeks ago, had the summer chrome clad wheels put back on and no reprogramming at all ... The learning process seems automatic each times. PS : Never heard about the "Canadian theory" of the TPMS, but I've got a Canadian 2011 Edge limited and living in Canada (Montreal area)

Got to give it to you, it's a good one !! But considering that this one was built by a private company and it is a revenue ($$) bridge, it might stay up for a while !

Follow Up Got to the dealer today. They think the USB key was corrupted .... They download a fresh version on a new usb fob, try the reinstallation process and everything went smooth. (Couldn't do it last sunday as the Ford download site was down ...and still is !!) Everything is in good working condition now ... and I got my smile back !!! :hyper: New maps are really up to date, there are streets less then a year old on the map ... Unfortunaly there is a 12 months old major bridge missing on highway 25 linking Montreal and Laval in the Montreal Area .... (TomTom and Garmin have it ...)

Upgrade went wrong It stalled on the first screen for over 1 h 30 and then I tried to do it again ... it went on for a while and stalled again in the third step (6 out of 9) ... Now everything is froozen in the middle of the proccess without giving me access to the screen. Can't reach the "master reset" option, the screen always comes back to the frozen process very fast ...within a second ... Can still manage to controls most of it thru the steering controls ... Removed the 29 fuse overnignt will see today the follow-up ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I might suggest to others a master reset BEFORE starting the process .... EDIT : It's frozen between the 6 and 7th screen (out of 9) printed in the "how to upgrade ..." booklet provided in the package. Going to the dealer tomorrow (Monday) morning ...

Just for info : Being French Canadian and living in Quebec, there were no "FR" marking on mine ... Just the regular address on the label. Install has yet to come this weekend ...

The shinny blue package has arrived here too (Montréal suburb area) ... Everything is bilingual (How-to, user guide, packaging, and so on) ... and in a really good French I might add. (Will see later for the French quality of the software...) Got the full package with the USB drive and SD card ... Not an appointment to the dealer ... Question : the new SD card for maps has been identified as "A3 Map Version" ... Bought the Edge last August with "A1" maps that looks like 5 to 7 years of age according to my relatively new residential area, wonder if there was ever an "A2 Map Version" ??... Also, inside the plastic box, there is that note : "The data enclosed is updated annually. For more information to purchase an update ... bla bla bla... go to your Ford Dealer" - I'm anxious to see that happen in real world in 2013 !!! Will install over the weekend ...

It only means that the map coverage includes both countries ... My current Canadian original box says : "Map Coverage - United States / Canada" and Languages : "English / Canadien Francais / Espanol"

OK but won't hold my breath !!! :boring: As for the possibility of a French version delaying the shipping, it might be a possibility, but I don't think that in 2012 it should be an issue, after all, all the previous released were bilingual or trilingual ... they already have a working recipe for the screen and voice recognition ! And as a French Canadian, as long as they don't use an automated translator such as Google, I can live with it ... so please Ford... ship it !!!

Hi guys, I don't experience that problem, but while looking for another issue, i found this .... Just an update on my situation A little work kept me away from home and had me far from my PC ... After installation, the tpms was not reprogrammed, I was waiting to get THE message and after a month, none came yet !!! I provoke a "low pressure" situation and the message came on ....Filled it again with normal pressure and it dissappeared - Everything is OK !!! Will see what happen for the spring tire change ...

The new power steering pump was installed yesterday (Nov 7th)... and .......... no change - There is still a "steel" noise coming from turning the wheel to either end while moving (slow speed turning right or left) ... They are keeping the Edge to investigate further ... Will keep you up to date ..

Hi everyone Last month I bought a brand new 2011 Edge Limited AWD with the 18 in. chrome wheels and cut the final deal including 4 Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow winter tires. Having winter tires out here is not a choice, living in Quebec, Canada, winter tires are mandatory from December 15th to March 15th since 2008 but TPMS are not .... From a safety point, it is a good thing to install winter tires from mid-November to Avril. Trying to save the chrome wheels from going thru tire changes twice a year that would surely bring some minor damage to the finish everytime (looks easily damageable), I bought a full set of GLR Wheels, a nice looking winter mag wheels model Escobar-M http://www.glrwheels.../escobar-m.html on for 110 $/ea to mount my winter tires. From then, I will be able to change the wheels seasonnaly myself. Being who I am, I've decided that I wouldn't go thru 4-5 months with the full 4 inches left display showing a warning message on everytime I (or my other half) drive the Edge so I bought 4 TPMS from the dealer AND the programmer. I know, I would not go thru the warning message for 5 months, while dealing for these this week, the TPMS warning light keeps coming on and off on my 2009 Dodge Charger and I hate it !!! Back to the TPMS, right now and until December 14th, in Canada, Ford dealers are selling tires and tire parts (National Tire Event) at 10-15 % discount, so I bought a full TPMS kit : 4 TPMS called TPMS-12 (part no. 9L3Z-1A189-A) for $56.60 /each 1 programmer called TPMS-19 (part no. 8C2Z-1A203-A) for $32.60. Yup 32 bucks !!! - That programmer is the exact same piece sold for 45 $ by tirerack.com here : http://www.tirerack....itoring+Systems By Friday, my mechanic will have received and installed the wheels and tires and I will program the TPMS sensors and let you know how it went.
