I recently purchased a used 2007 Edge SE. It only has 30K miles and I got a good deal on it. So far I am loving it but one thing that concerns me a bit is the gasket or seal that is between the windshield and the front of the dash looks like someone (with very skinny fingers) reached down if front of the dash and pulled the gasket up. Instead of being down in front of the dash and out of site a good portion of it now lays on top of the dash. In addition to being unsightly I am wondering if this gasket serves a purpose, like keeping water out of the car, that it may not be performing in its current location. Has anyone come across this before. If so what would be the best way to fix it. Not sure just stuffing it back down between the windshield and dash is the best solution.
