I can't private message if i don't post 50 times is the biggest BS i've ever heard. ... Sorry I didn't get back to you since before the holidays... Thanks for the compliments!! I used NightShades and did three complete coats with NO clear coat. For some reason they turned out near perfect and glossy like they were professionally done. I completely removed the tails, sprayed them and let them dry for a whole day and popped them back in. I used NIghtShades on my car a few years back and it was more of a semi-gloss/satin finish which was very weird. Hope that helps! NIce Edge too by the way!!

Thanks guys... I have been trying to call the BasT@#$ all day and have been getting a machine everytime. i really should have gone with another reputable company like V-LED's but i actually ordered my front LED lights from DaytimeBrightLites. Now that is one hell of a company!!! Absolutely amazing customer service and at a real personal level which you can't find now-a-days. My next project after all of this LED mess is said and done is gonna be to paint the calipers gloss black using the G2 kit.

Hey everyone just thought i would like to share with all of you Edge drivers out there a weekend fiasco i had with some RetroSolutions brand LED's i was installing in my rear turn signals and taillights.... and it all started to make sense afterwards when i came on here and saw that Retrosolutions had been deleted from the forums. So about a week ago i ordered a set of white 921's for the reverse lights, a set of amber 3157 LED's for the rear turn signals and a pair of 3157 red for the tails to round out the complete LED conversion. Shipping was quick so they came in the mail before the weekend. Thinking i was all set to go for a quick 5 to 10 minute "unplug the stock halogen bulbs and replace them with the new LED's" session i grabbed what tools i needed and went to work. All was good to go with the brake lights and reverse lights, double checking everything as i went along, and the new setup looked awesome. But then came the amber turn signal replacement LEDs... plugging them in and NOTHING. So i did what i was instructed and flipped the bulb around... still NOTHING. Chalked it up to maybe a bad bulb and went for the other in the package... NOTHING. Flipped it around.. NOTHING. So OK we got a bad package of bulbs no biggy and i opened the other set that i was planning to use on the front turn signals. Well guess what?? NOTHING!!! :rip: . After trying all the 4 bulbs i thought "ok maybe its an issue where i need load resistors to mimmic the halogen bulbs that aren't there anymore." So i proceeded to install a load resistor for each turn signal bulb.. After much hesitation i realized i needed to drill tiny holes behind the factory tailights to mount the resistors because of the warning that they get super hot. I bit the bullet and drilled the holes and mounted everything up and wired according to the diagram. STILL NOTHING. I know i'm not a rocket scientist but it couldnt be hard to do this.. my adequate electrical skills told me that maybe i spliced the wrong wires. The electrical tester told me that i was correct in installing everything so i still was puzzled to why everything wasn't working?!?! a bad ground? NOPE. Inadequate connections?? NOPE. soldered everything up perfect I.M.O. The resistors were getting hot as per the instructions so everything should be fine? :chairshot: (I hope these cool little emoticons keep my story interesting LOL) For the life of me i had no idea what to do.... damn near giving up and speaking every French word in the dictionary i TRIPLE CHECKED my work. Ok the diagram and my wiring matched up EXACT. Tested all the wires.... GOOD TO GO. WOWWWW. WTF WAS GOING ON?!?! WELL GUESS WHAT...... I tried a hail mary last resort and took one of the functioning red LED's out of the tails and popped them into the turn signals only to see them flashing back at me as if winking "everything is going to be fine". SO CHALK IT UP TO NOT ONE... BUT TWOOOOOOOO SETS OF SHITTY RETROSOLUTIONS LED'S!!!!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. I picked up the phone to give them a good piece of my mind but i was stuck talking to a machine. Monday can't come soon enough. I took off the resistors and retaped the stock wiring and also siliconed over the precious piercings i had to put in the back of my baby. Luckily nobody will ever see them...haha. :surrender: SORRY if i'm venting but I figured this would be the proper place to do it rather then hunting for a nice clean piece of drywall on the garage wall to destroy. What started out as a quick 10 minute project turned into a 3 hour fiasco.. INSANEEEEEEE. I just wanna thank retrosolutions for those few hours of life i wasted. But most importantly.... Thanks for listening Edgers!!! :stats: Have any of you guys had this issue with Retrosolutions?? Unfortunately i ordered a Digital HID kit from them and a full set of interior LEDs... guess its only a matter of time before i have to start replacing. I couldn't find a "MADE IN CHINA" label on anything but i'm sure that their products come from overseas. I hate that this happened seeing as i was a loyal repeat customer and trusted their quality products but unfortunately that isn't the case. Going through two new sets of bulbs (4 to be exact) is absolutely rediculous and leads me to believe their quality control is just a name.

Awesome job on this Dan! I just installed my Digital H.I.D. 55W 8000k kit from RetroSolutions.com with your major help from this detailed video. I also fabricated the same mounting brackets for the ballast's from the plumber's strapping and they came out pretty good. I was unsure of the bolts to use in the stock mounting locations so i tried some coarse threaded sheet metal screws and they worked just fine. Everything worked out great and the lights look amazing at night! Just enough blue tint in the beam, but not too much to attract the wrong attention. I hope to get some pics of the finished product up this weekend for you guys. Finally a $40K car with the RIGHT headlight H.I.D. output! Thanks FORD. -
