Gday I just upgraded my 2011 Limited to a Sync 3 system. Straight forward install. So far I’m quite happy with it. Apple car play works well.? The Sync 3 came off a 19 F150 supposedly. The APIM had a 2018 manufacturer date. It’s showing version 3.0 Build 17276 and Maps version NA 1 16. From what I can tell certain 2019 vehicles may be eligible for free nav updates. I’ll try the vin and see if I can the maps updated for free. For actual Sync updates should I even bother since it seems ok for now? Thanks Spiff

Thanks again. I have the sync 3 installed now. The person I got it from has wire connected to pin spots on both connectors. It works but I’m not fussy on that connection I’d rather have it connected to real connectors but to cheap to spend $50 on the dtech connector. Lol

Hi onyxbfly, How did you connect the Sync 3 USB hub to the Sync 2 wire connector? Did you use the Dtech adapter or just made up something?

Gday Looks like my NAV Sync 2 might be on its way out. Instead of spending cash on Sync 2 APIM, I’m thinking about doing the Sync 3 upgrade. Has anyone done this? Any comment for or against? Thanks Spiff

Hi I have around 45000 miles on my Scorpions. 5/32 treadware left on them. I will not be replacing them with the same. These tires suck in the winter. I can't believe Ford would put these on an AWD drive vehicle in Canada. In winter, I found the traction control and ABS always kicking in to the point I don't feel safe in the Edge. I ended up getting a winter set of Nokian Hakkas. Night and day difference. I'll be replacing the Scorp's next spring. Not sure which tires yet but leaning toward Michelin LTX. Will be researching this winter. Spiff

brro, did you order the cover mentioned? If so how does it secure towards the rear? Are the attachment clips strong enough? Spiff

Hi, I ordered new 20's for a Flex from OEM Direct wheels in Florida. Shipping to Canada was reasonable. Took them to my mechanic's shop to test fit them before putting winter rubber on them next fall. I got the TMPS sensors off of EBay for $60. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions. Spiff

Thanks for the info UserName. I'm getting the Flex rims as a winter set. Had a rude awakening on the price of winter rubber. The 20's will probably cost an $350ish over the 18's. Sighhhhh I wish the Scorpions weren't so lousy in winter. Spiff
