I ordered some from Partscheap.com. Somebody else on this Forum referred me to this site. Same here, I've had my 2012 Limited Ecoboost for about 2 weeks now and it works great. The overall quality of the car is impressive. Everybody who's been inside can't stop saying how beautiful it is. It has more technology and "toys" than most cars out there. On the MFT side of things, I did have 1 "system is preforming schedule maintenance" reboot that happened out of the blue and lasted about 2 minutes. Other than that, it's been flawless. As for the lag, it is a computer and sometimes if you preform many tasks at the same time, it can take be a fraction of a second to respond after you touch the screen. Be patient and don' t press the buttons a bunch of times. Overall, very happy with my new Edge!!

I’m glad to report that the Nokia C2-01 works perfectly with MFT. Phonebook updated correctly and is displaying contact photos. I was really hoping that it would do that. It also streams music but I don’t use it for that – Instead, I have a USB stick with all my MP3’s. It does not read text messages.

Glad to hear it's peppy and has enough torque to push you back in your seat. Really looking forward to driving it. I ordered mine in mid-August without the chance to test drive it - in fact there are still no ecoboost Edges at the dealership. Mine is on the train now and should arrive a the dealership early next week. It's been 9 weeks and a long wait. Looking forward to it's arrival.

I got my VIN number today as well. I ordered it on August 17th. The dealer did not give me the VIN, is this something I should request so I can track it myself?

If you have a Canadian car, the message center would show imperial gallons. You can tell if you have a Canadian car if the speedometer is showing KM's in big numbers (goes to 240) and Miles in smaller numbers (goes to 140).

They have one here at the dealership where I purchased mine and I think it looks nice but, like you said, it's a matter of taste. It's a golden brown metallic. I was interested in that color but it's not available on the 2012 model year. I ordered my 2012 Limited in Cinnamon metallic.

Congratulations on new Edge as well, hope it arrives soon. My dealer told me mine should be in around September 18th. I test drove a Sport here and it was great. Love the paddle shifters and the 22''s. Are there many Edges in Germany? Fuel efficiency was a must for me since I use it for work so I had to go with the 2.0. I'm cautiously optimistic since I was not able to drive it so I've been reading every review I can find on the Ecoboost engine. Most reviews say the same thing; If you don't want an AWD and you don't need it to tow, it's pretty good. With 270 lb.-ft torque at 3,000 rpm they say it can pretty much keep up with the 3.5. Anyways for my purpose, I'm sure it will have enough power.

Thanks for the pictures. You did a GREAT JOB!! It really looks professional !!! I'm not sure I could do such a good job - especially if I have to cut the pieces out myself. Maybe I can pay someone locally to do it for me. If I could get my hands on a pre-cut set, I might give it a try myself. Do you know if the glue will damage the plastic wood finish underneath in case I don't like it or when I sell the car?

Wow, you guys read my mind. The only thing I don't like about the Limited is the stupid cheap looking wood finish on the dash. If I could have gotten the Sony system in an SEL, I would have gotten that instead. I've been looking for dash kits to cover it up but I'm worried it will look like something I did myself. There are a few places on the internet where I found vinyl dash kits but I can't just buy the 3 sections I need (passenger side and both side of the wheel), I have to buy a full dash kit with stickers to go around the radio, center console, etc... Any suggestions where to buy and the quality? Will it look like it was made in the factory or something I did in my garage? I would rather replace the dash panels with the ones from the SEL or Sport models (even if it cost $200 or $300). The dealer said I would not be able to replace them. Does anybody know if that's true? If so, where do I order them and is it easy to replace? Pictures would be nice

Thanks for the advice guys It doesn't appear that I'll be able to do much more than make and receive phone calls from my phone. It's due for an upgrade next spring, I'll consider an iPhone or Blackberry at that time and make sure it's on the list before I purchase it.

Does anybody know where I can get a list of compatible phones with My Ford Touch & Sync. I have a Nokia C2-01 phone and want to know if I will be able to take advantage of MFT features with it.

I just placed my order for my first Edge. I ordered a 2012 Edge LTD with 2.0 Ecoboost, Canadian Touring Package (Vista Roof, Nav). I ordered it Cinnamon Metallic with Black Interior. I'm really excited to get it. I obviously have not been able to test drive the Ecoboost and looking forward to seeing if it will have enough power. I currently have a 2010 Fusion and have been impressed with the quality of the new Ford products but looking for something bigger. I also do about 50,000km per year and wanted something comfortable. I previously had a 2006 Taurus (company car) and it was not a very exciting drive but very comfy. My salesperson told me it could take 8-12 weeks to arrive... I guess I’m looking to educate myself on my new car and pass the time while I’m waiting for it to arrive.
