Guys, the deal with this issue is that your fuel tank vent hose is clogged. Mine actually had a spider (!) in it. Blowing out the vent hose solves the problem entirely. My car was actually throwing a CEL code along with this issue. Ford charged me $100 to fix it the first time, but if it happens again I'm going to complain. Apparently this is a pretty common issue.
