Hi, I thought I would share this with everyone. A week ago bought some New Michelin Latitude Tour HP's from a New local tire shop that opened in my town. He only had 1 set, Got a great deal on them, Super Quiet, handle great, and steering response is fantastic. But, I've been thinking something looks different about these. After more investigation the Tread pattern is different and the load rating is higher. I can't find any pictures or info with this tread pattern. It's the sidewall they were manufactured in the US last november. Any thought's? I'm thinking these are made for sams club or costco, but can't find them anywhere. here is all the sidewall info: Michelin Latitude Touring HP 245-60-18 Green X 105H M+S DT DOT M34A 00CX 3112 Max Load - 925 kg / 2039 lbs Max PSI - 44 psi Tread - 440 Traction - A Tempature - A Radial X

I would be asking for a New replacement vehicle all together. Thats crazy not even making it 500 miles, I love Ford's... but I would sick. At least they are replacing the whole engine, but still its not a new off the line vehicle anymore. It has a different engine, sorry I dont want to make you feel worse but I've been through this before myself. I bought a brand spanking new Chevy Silverado, and at 1200 mile the tranny blew-up. I was amazed because I babied my new truck and never towed anything. Well at 15,000 that tranny blew up again, and GM would not replace, they rebulit it, and would only warranty it for one year or 12,000 miles. I was like What the hell that less than the original warranty. But, they assurred me they would cover it for 36,000. and it did last until 49,000, even with multiple shaft leaks. And I still have never towed anything, At that point GM covered half of the 4000.00 to fix it again, because of the previous issues. I got rid of it at 75000, I was just waiting for it fail again. My Point to this... is the truck was never the same, I always felt I was going to blow my tranny at anytime. And to me my truck was a "PILE" from the beginning, and I wish I never bought the thing. Or at least would have not bought one that right off the bat had issues. My Ford Edge has been a great vehicle. Sorry your Edge failed, Good luck, and let them know your concerns.

Last year when I was looking at edge's, as much as I like the 2011 interior updates... It felt cramped and more car-like. One of the main reasons I loved the original edge was because the interior was spacious and truck-like. Was really close to buying the new one just for the new gadgets. But I was just more at home sitting in the 2009 Edge. I'm 6'2, 220lbs, and I'm completely comfortable in my 2009, lots of legroom.

I thought about doing this upgrade also, I saw that the MKX has this cover also. When you find the cover if you would mind posting the part number and if there is other parts involved. Thanks, and Congrats on your Silver Sport!

Is it by chance coming from the subwoofer in the rear? The reason I ask, is because I had a high pitch whine coming out of the rear factory subwoofer. I was able to verify this, because I dropped in an aftermarket sub and amp. I tapped the high level signals coming out of the factory sub amp and ran them to the new amp. At first i could still hear a high pitch whine, but then i switch the amp crossover to Low pass, Instantly the noise was gone. Switching the crossover back high pass and the whine came back. hope this helps.

I've noticed this same thing, the exhaust looks very low on some of the 2011's. Some look normal kind of tucked up to the frame. But then I see some that look like they are 5 inches from the ground.

I'm still trying to "like" the murdered look. But I cant get past the blacked out rims. I can see the chrome removal on the body, but black rims remind me of missing hubcaps or something. I'm 41 now, and growing up in my age group we all strived to have nice chrome shiny rims. An example, black, tinted, mustang with big chrome wheels makes my heart skip a beat. But black, tinted mustang with black wheels... to me looks cheap and incomplete. Just my old school opinion, but, congrats will your mods, I like the black grill, and the "sport" headlights would make your ride look even more intimidating

Guess I've been a Hack all my life...and Proud of it! Wouldn't "Hacking" into an "Ignition Harness" cause the same computer controlled issues, that you mentioned? I thought that the spare fuses in the fuse panel were for accessories.
