  1. Hi Circle3, You may have already sent me an email, but if not my Vertical LED Running Lights are a plug and play system. Easily pop out the stock lights and pop mine in. There is no wire cutting or modifications to the electrical system of your Edge. I have tons of photos and videos showing our different DRL options. You can see exactly what's involved with installing the lights. It's very easy and shouldn't take much more than 30 - 45 minutes, even for a novas.
  2. Have you tried to see if it turns? Maybe it unscrews.
  3. Great reply cjd3! Love the humor. I use it as a desk for my laptop when I travel. Not while I'm driving though. OK, on a rare occassion I have used it while I was driving. Would that be considered "texting & driving"?
  4. Hey, no one told me I got a new Sport or where I'm supposed to pick it up on Monday! (Zemzabob, you may want edit your post and put a comma (,) between "everyone" and "just" in the first sentence of your post). You got me all excited there for a minute;-).
  5. Says a lot about a vehicle when owners update/upgrade into the same vehicle. Enjoy your '13.
  6. I wanted it to be a beer, but had too much drivingh ahead of me. Good choice of words though Cd, since is it was a monster can of "Monster" Energy Drink. (I don't need any help from you to get into trouble. I do well enough on my own :-).
  7. Thanks for the nice things you said about my lights and service. You all were also great to work with and really enjoyed our conversations. Wish we could have done it in person instead of by email. Thanks DB for pointing out that photos just can't capture the true punch of light that these put out. This is my biggest weakness in trying to market them. No matter what setting I use on my cameras, I have never been able to get close to the true life look.
  8. Congrats FR. The lights look great and glad that no little gremlins popped up like some folks on the forum have had. I agree with Edgie, definitely make surer beam cutoff is good. If you followed my video and used tape on the garage door to trace the beam spread before and after the install and the HID beam cutoff matches, then you're good to go.
  9. Just make sure whatever lights you use do not project the light up any higher that the hood of the car. You want the light on the surface of the road underneath the fog/mist. If the light goes up too high it will reflect off the mist directly in front of the car obstructing the view worse than no fogs. The bright white color of LEDs is the worst color lighting source to use in a foggy atmosphere. A white glare causes more discomfort in your eyes than a yellow glare. I'm not saying a white LED light source does not make for a good fog light, you just have to be sure it is focused toward the ground and does not leak light upward. A projector lamp is the best option. Edgieguy, the Rigid lights you mention are driving lights and by the look of the LED reflectors in them they do not have a narrow or focused beam spread, but a wide or flood type beam spread,
  10. First I have to wrap the trim piece above the grill with the vinyl you gave me months ago. The box has been leaning up against the wall in my office and taunts me every time I see it saying to me, "Cellbine would be so disappointed in you if he knew that you still haven't used me."
  11. Running late and can't stop to take an outside shot.bveen traveling on business and heading back to K.C. To meet an F-150 owner to deliver his new LED Puddle Lights. Finall I have a chance to see a cuetomer in person. (NOTE: Before everyone starts piling on me, yes I know that it isn't safe to photograph and drive. So please don't hijack dsage's fun thread to scold me for doing it.)
  12. Hi Mike, I've been on the forum for about a year and have never read of anyone installing round fogs on the 2011+ Edge. You're right about tring to find a good spot to put them without it looking like a real hack job. You mention that you want to instal real fog lights, meaning amber colored, right? If that's the case and the lens color is amber unless you really recess them back into the hole, the yellow lens will really stand out. In my humble opinion this will look really awkward on your Sport. Again, just one opinion. With that said, I am a big believer in that if you like the look and/or function of a mod, it doesn't matter what others think of it.
  13. I don't use CAIs for the performance improvement (real or not), but for the wonderful sound it puts out when accelerating. I have used them in my last three cars including on two HEMI 300c's. They worked and sounded great on them. But my ProZen setup I had on my Sport's 3.7L reduced the performance of the engine. I had it in for about 6 months and finally yanked it and re-installed the OEM system. I should hav e done it a long time ago. There are no more throttle response delays or hesitating and my gas mileage even improved. I'll live without the cool sound for now. When someone finally figures out a decent tune for the 3.7Ln then I will use one again.
  14. Hey _14437, Thumbing through old threads about LED lighting and DRL options for the Edge and saw yours asking if there is an aftermarket DRL that is made specifically for the Edge. I manufacture just such a light. Click on the banner below. It will take you to my website.
  15. Thought I would bump this stalled thread. I had posted several replies here, but they were inadvertently deleted (It's a long story, so don't ask). Several of the posters mentioned that they would like to have them on their car but didn't want to make the lights themselves. Take a look at the Vertical LED Running Lights I make by clicking on the banner ad in my signature below.
  16. I I don't have the factory DRL feature (headlights or amber parking), but I manufacture and sell an 8 LED vertical running light that replaces the wimpy stock vertical parking light. Our light is a seemless replacement and the closest look to the original stock light. The DRL LEDs come on at full brightness when the engine is started. The LEDs dim to 50% when the headlights are switched on, making a very cool accent light that is brighter than the stock light.
  17. I have a video on my website showing exactly how to open up the wheel well splash liner. This is how to get to the vertical parking lights in 2011's +, but it should be the same for '07-'10's as well. Go to www.daytimebrightlites.com, click on the "LED Running Lights" tab, then scroll down to the installation videos. It's very simple. Remove the three screws along the edge of the fender. If you need to open up the liner for more room, remove the 2 scres under the front of the liner.
  18. I certainly understand your need to black it out for your SEMA Edge, but it's a shame to have to cover up the excellent finish Magnaflow put on it.
  19. It should say on the window sticker. Have you synced a bluetooth phone to the Edge before? If so, press the phone button on the steering wheel and a voice will ask something like what can I do? You say "services". it will then start a call from your phone. Once the MyFordSync voice asks what service do you want, say "directions" if you get this, then you have voice NAV.
  20. I think Ford made a good call beginning to offer an appearance package. Fills a niche. Ford's now getting the money that previously went to the aftermarket wheel and tire guys.
  21. You do not want to paint over any chrome, even scuffed up chrome. Chrome finish, especially on plastic, is quite brittle and will flake up easily when its scratched. I suggest wiping the chrome off with acetone. Just be careful to rinse with soap and water right away or it will begin to erode the plastic. Then use a fine sand paper to scuff the surface so the paint bites in.
  22. KingMike, Good luck finding aftermarket anything specific to the Edge. The problem, (IMHO and no offense meant to anyone) is that the demographic spread for Edge owners is all over the board. Owner's range in age from 1st time drivers to retirees. And purely through my own windshield time, it appears the majority of Edge owners are over the age of 50 and women. These groups are not your big aftermarket prospective customers, so no demand means no supply. The lack of aftermarket lighting products for the Edge was the whole reason I started my business.
