  2. Thanks cal3thousand. I ordered the plate lights... you mentioned having to switch the bed around and snip a portion tin off... any chance you can take a picture of that. i'd light to reproduce it and want to make sure Im snipping off the right part.
  3. I just ordered the V-LEDS - wondering if these cause a resistor sensor error code?
  4. I purchased my Ford Edge 2011 this month - Black on Black. When I inspected the car the 1st time everything was perfect... when I went back to finalize the deal I inspected the car again and noticed a chip on the front panel adjacent to the drivers door hinge. It's a 3mm white spec but on a toxedo black edge it is an immediate eye soar. The salesman said it was caused by passing motorists as they are redoing the road in front of the dealer . I spoke the the dealer and they agreed to both touch it up with a touch up pen and then since I insisted they also agreed to have there body repair shop re-paint the section properly. My Gramps (a retired mechanic) says there is nothing like the "factory paint job" and since the touch up pen did an acceptable job (it is now only noticeable IF I point it out) he suggests I leave as is ... I on the other hand fear the touch up pen my not fully protect that spot from the winter and it could be a source of rust in later years. My question is....Would you leave it be?...
  5. 1st off.. I would like to that you for posting the video... i would was going crazy looking at the main fuse box under the hood and seeing that slot 29 was empty... I did.. pulled the fuse and my phone now works BEAUTIFULLY
  6. By the way.. I had the pesky rivets too... I drilled them out.. went straight at them with a 1/2 inch bit...after a bit the top began to turn so I gave it a little upwards pressure and it popped off... I then grabbed a 3/16" bit to drill the remaining stub into the back of the bumper.. it fell off cleany.. :whew: By the way... when drillinginto the bumper to fit the 3/8" plug I suggest you position the bit as straight as possible and then fully squeeze the drill to make for a clean hole... I went slowly with the smaller bits as I worked my self up to 3/8" and noticed it was peeling the chrome off... So when I got to 3/8 I did it full speed and it did a great job.. I did however have slioght peel so I pushed it in the holes with my fingers and then snapped the plug in to secure it in place.
  7. I check out bumperplugs too... but when I saw that for 35$ I would still need to drill the holes bigger...I decided to go with the suggested tip. We dont have Lowes here so I just went to homedepot picked up two 0.74$ chrome lockable plugs and voila! It looks great... It looked so good I even got a high-five from my wife.... Thanks guys... this forum is turning out to be a lifesaver
  8. Hi guys, I just got an EDGE SEL AWD 2011 and was looking at adding some extra HP to it. I was wondering if any of you found a performance chip that could be added without voiding the waranty.
