    Thx for the advice. I will wait for the big update because v2.8 is ok for me. I submitted an address in the U.S. and hope Ford will send me the USB drive to this address. :-)

    I downloaded v2.11 and tried to install it. I reported the result on syncmyride.com and noticed that v2.11 was uninstalled and v2.8 was restored. So I downloaded v2.11 again to my USB stick and tried again. Now the system says "Bad Installation File, One or more of the files being installed on your system did not install successfully." What does it mean? I did a master reset via MFT, but the same message again. Currently installed SW version is 4.23.11134_PRODUCT What can I do to install v2.11?

    He he, I like the announcement about the performance upgrade and I hope I can download it from syncmyride.com. Btw I have a question regarding the SD card. My 2011 Sport has the navigation system installed but it came without a SD card. Currently I am not able to enter the navigation menu or use the compass. In 2012 MFT will be launched in Europe. Does anyone know if Ford will offer a SD card for Europe?

    Sometimes no, but it always work with the second finger tip. I don't see any problem in this. What I realized is, that while indexing a USB device, the system responses not that good. Maybe the CPU load is to high to provide to recognize finger tips and do indexing at the same time. In general I am fine with v2.8 of the MFT software. But I will update to v2.11. Hopefully it will work afterwards. :-)

    I drove a 2003 Mercedes CLK with HID's for the last 8 years and I thought I will be disappointed with the 2011 Ford Edge Sport, but the standards beams are ok for me. Btw installing US HIDs and using them on public roads in Germany would require additional modifications to fit German regulations. :-( I have to wait for a DV (green card) to move to the US and bring the Edge with me. Then I can also upgrade to HIDs.....

    Hello, I am already reading this forum since July. This week my 2011 Ford Edge Sport AWD arrived in Munich. It is fun to drive this car here, because no one knows the car. Every day someone asks me what kind of car this is. ("Is this the new Ford?") :-) Well, to attach the license plates I drove to a Ford dealer next to me and asked for help. You see that I have have license plates on both ends of the car in Germany. Again, every one was looking at the Edge when I arrived. I explained, that this is a Ford and I am here at a Ford dealer, so what's the matter? :-) After two days of driving (city and German Autobahn) I got 22mpg. I can't wait for tomorrow, because we will do a road trip to Leipzig (a City in east Germany) and Berlin. Best regards, Rene

    Hi folks, I placed my order for a 2011 Ford Edge Sport AWD end of June 2011. The right car was found quickly in PA, but the shipping to Germany and all the additional things are frustrating. It started with the title, which took me 6 weeks to get it. Now the car arrived one week ago in Germany, but it still didn't passed German customs. I don't believe that it will happen this year. If I could, I would cancel my order and buy a f**king European car. I almost know all the articles and youtube videos about the Edge, and I am ready for it's delivery. I even got a US phone number to register myself at syncmyride .... that makes me so angry. Rene

    If you think the OEM wheels are expensive, ship 4 of them to Germany. :-) I did, because I want 18" winter wheels. To avoid endless discussions with German authorities (TUEV), I picked OEM wheels to get my approval for public roads. In addition to the wheels, UPS wants 800 USD of shipping. Hey, I really love my Edge!

    Hallo, ich habe mir den Edge bei mobile angesehen. Der scheint neu bei Geigercars zu sein. Unser ist weiß und hat zusätzlich das Vision Package und Navi. Das Navi nur, weil es auf dem US Markt keinen Edge ohne gab, der den Rest noch drin hatte. Ich hätte dir ja die Vehicle Description geschickt, aber ich habe deine email nicht.     Noch ein Tipp zur Versicherung. Geigercars wollte mir eine vermitteln, die hätte mich 2500 EUR p.a. gekostet. Bin jetzt bei der Öffentlichen Versicherung Braunschweig. Die stufen den Edge mit 22 (Haftpflicht) und 16 (Vollkasko) ein. Somit komme ich auf 900 EUR p.a.

    Hi, na das klingt ja nicht gut. Wir wollten noch in diesem Jahr Winterreifen kaufen. Ich dachte, man bekommt über einen Fordhändler passenden Felgen. Geigercars wollte für einen Sport 50k EUR, doch der hatte nicht alles drin. Deshalb haben wir bei Gotthold einen "füll loaded" Sport AWD bestellt und zahlen dafür nur 45k.

    Bei Geiger Cars haben wir eine Probefahrt mit einem Edge gemacht. Der Preis war mir aber zu hoch. Wegen der Geschwindigkeitsaufhebung habe ich keine Infos. Erst mal muss der Edge da sein. Hast du extra Winterreifen gekauft? Ich dachte an 18" und werde mich darum kümmern, wenn den Wagen da ist. Rene

    Hallo, ich habe die Firma Gotthold Global mit dem Kauf und dem Import nach Deutschland beauftragt. Der Edge hat in den US 43.000 USD gekostet und wird mich am Ende in Deutschland 45.000 EUR kosten. Nach meinen Berechnungen ist das absolut ok. Ich hätte allein wahrscheinlich genausoviel gezahlt mit mehr Stress. Wir hoffen, dass der Edge in den nächsten 3 Wochen vor der Tür steht. ...

    Hallo, ich bin geschäftlich oft in Detroit und habe den Edge dort gesehen. Ein Explorer bzw. Tahoe war meiner Frau zu groß. Also ist es ein Edge geworden. Wir haben den Sport AWD genommen, weil nur der Sport im Innenraum Aluminium hat und den AWD weil wir in Bayern öfter Schnee haben.

    Today I learned that it can take 3 to 12 weeks to receive a title. That is unbelievable. :-( Meanwhile my car hopefully survived Irene in the NYC harbor.

    Well, on a German Autobahn a good average traveling speed is 100 mph. If there is less traffic it gets boring. :-) Then you wish to speed up a little bit. It sounds crazy, but I had this feeling traveling 150mph with my CLK. Anyway, did you have any trouble with the German Ford dealer doing the update? I will challenge the dealer next to me, when my 2011 Sport finally arrive. Rene

    Hello Kenny, nice to see someone from Germany with a 2011 Sport here. I am still waiting for my one. It is still in NYC waiting for the title. Where did you get the HID? Do you know how to install them? In the last 8 years I drove a CLK with Bi-Xenon lamps. :-) Greeting from Munich Rene
