2011 Ford Edge 3.5L. Received message check fuel inlet. Cleaned fuel inlet as per messages on this forum. Check engine light coming on with above code. Replace canister purge solenoid because it was cheap. Cleared codes and check engine light still coming on with same code. Is it possible that the vapour management valve is the issue? Any help would be great.

ambient light question
northernone replied to northernone's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Yes the door and foot wells work but just not the cup holders. We had the dashboard replaced about 2 weeks ago and I seem to think that's when it quit working. Thanks I will take it in. -
Sorry, as this maybe a bad question. 2015 Edge Titanium should the cup holders in the center console light up? I don't drive it and don't want to look dumb a the dealership when I bring it in.

Had mine replaced 1 week ago and wow what a difference. There is more pedal feel now and doesn't throw you into the windshield.

I'm looking to see if anyone has had the updated brake booster installed in their 2015 Edge to fix the grabby brakes? I have an appointment next week to have mine done with the updated booster and wanted to see how they felt with the new booster.

2015 Edge Sport Collision Avoidance Erratic
northernone replied to postman's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I also have this issue. Mine is a 2015 Titainium and we have been having issues. Ours seem to act up first thing in the morning when we come to a stop sign on our street. The stop sign is about 20 feet from the car and it will go off but only once in the morning, if we pass it later that day it won't go off. Dealer can't seem to find out what's wrong. It goes off like your going to hit it. -
Looking for help. I have a 2015 Edge titanium and within the last 2 months the seam where the airbag door would be on the passenger side dash has become very visible. Checked new units on the dealer lot and can't see a seam. Is it just mine or are there others out there with this issue? Dealer took pictures and are submitting them to Ford.

Had mine fixed about 2 weeks ago. Have not heard the rattle since. They had it for 2 days and lowered the headliner and folded over a piece of metal and added foam to quite it up. That said they have done 5 of them with none returning after the fix saying its back. Tried to get more info but that is all they told me.

Do I have a heater issue?
northernone replied to northernone's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Well when I go see the dealer soon, I'm going to mention this issue to them. I need to switch from auto to defrost every 5 min to defrost the windshield. Note sure if this is normal but it's a pain. -
So I now have the rattle from the dr side b pillar area. Do we know yet what exactly is causing the rattle?

Do I have a heater issue?
northernone replied to northernone's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
This is when driving the car when it's warmed up for 1 hour. Driving around in auto the windshield fogs up and then ice cristals forms on the inside of the windshield. No air flow comes out of the defrost vents. I have a 2011 edge and air flows out of the defrost vents in auto mode, thought this would be the same. -
2015 edge titanium. It's cold here in the north and when I have the heat on and temp set to auto, the front windshield fogs up and can't see. The edge is warmed up and in auto there is no air flow coming out of the defrost vents. All the flow comes out of the side window vents and floor. Shouldn't there be flow at the defrost vent? If I select the defrost vent, air flows out from it. Why not in auto setting? Is this normal?

Heated Seats Working?
northernone replied to tron1974's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I have a 2011 edge that the seats get very hot in about 5 min. My 2015 edge get warm but not as hot as the 2011. I wish they worked better then they do. I do like the heated steering wheel though, -
Driver floor is SOAKING WET
northernone replied to Blue_Edge15's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I'm not sure I would want the Edge back after being torn apart and put back together. I could only imagine the rattles and squeaks that the owner and the dealer will have to deal with. I can imagine this is why the dealers are trying so hard for Ford to buy them back.- 478 replies

Sync 3 staring to be released now
northernone replied to Jeff Maynard's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Just like the My Ford Touch I think sync 3 will have issues and people will pick it apart. I think that it will be a better system then the MFT but still have issues. Just my 2 cents -
Adaptive cruise control
northernone replied to northernone's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I see it's available on Ford.com but not up here in Canada at Ford.ca. Is this a normal thing to add options to vehicles half way through a build year? -
Does anyone know what trim models had the adaptive cruise control as a feature?

Does anyone know if there has been any option for people in Canada to get out of their lease or receive a new edge in regards to this problem? -

Sounds like anything after April 28th 2015. I have a June18th build date. No water problems and no outstanding campaigns on it.- 478 replies

Just did some reading online. It says it uses electric motors at the rear calipers to apply the brake pads. It also says that back yard mechanics can't just replace brake pads anymore because you need a computer to reset the motors. Not sure if I believe what I read about changing brake pads yourself but I guess we will find out soon enough.
