    Thanks for the numbers boys!!!! Not really sure why mines not clamping down tight enough. It's really clean and has only been disconnected a few times. I'll get a better look at it in a few days but will probably just order a new one.

    Took the battery out today to clean it up and put a nice charge on it. Went to install it and noticed that the positive cable is not getting tight enough even if I crank the bolt down. Some kinda crazy wedge design that seems to be working but just not getting tight enough. Any suggestions?????

    Battery just had it's 2 year birthday and is in good shape. I went through this a few years ago when I didn't drive it much for a 9 month period. I just got in the habit of pulling a cable if it was gonna sit for over 5 days.

    Anyone else have their dash screen not turn off sometimes? Once in a while I'll notice it and jump back in to cycle the key which does turn it off. I've been driving a second vehicle lately and noticed the Edge's battery dies if it sits for a week or so. Not sure if it's the dash screen draining the battery cuz I don't always check it. I'm thinkin about just installing a battery switch under the hood.

    Pretty sweet she fired up for ya!!!! You deserve a big "Datta-Boy cuz not many would give it a go these days. I built and installed two motors many moons ago and still feel the satisfaction to this day. Put a built 460 Police Interceptor in a black 1977 T-Bird. Bout 5 miles per gallon but pretty quick for a huge hunk of metal.

    I can tell you not to get the Yokohama YK 580's. A little on the noisy side and not wearing that well.

    I've got a 2008 Taurus that's just starting to show signs of this at 55,000 miles. Went into limp mode about 150 miles from home last week. I just disconnected the battery for a few minutes and it got me home and has been fine for about a week so far. I sometimes feel a slight trans stutter at a steady speed between 60 and 80 mph. I'm gonna wait til it happens again before making a move. I should add that this happened right after I did the first 5 quart drain and refill of the trans but the high speed stutter was already happening before that.

    Do all 2011's have this problem or did some come with the updated valve cover?? I've never had any oil on the air filter but she does guzzle some extra oil between changes. I'll pull the intake tube when I get a chance and check for oil.

    My 2011 SEL did not come with Bluetooth so I run a Kinivo BT which uses a power point and the 3.5mm auxiliary jack in the center consul. I need the Kinivo to power off with the accessory delay so my phone doesn't stay paired when I leave the vehicle. I've already rewired the center consul power point to go off and on with the ignition but would love it to function with accessory delay so I could carry on conversations when I turn off the vehicle.

    Has anyone ever found a fuse that works with the Accessory Delay???????? I'm using a device that I would like to keep powered with the vehicle turned off until I open a door.

    Auto manufacturers have been trying to out LED each other for a few years now. I do think they make vehicles easier to see but it would be nice if we had a choice to run them or not. Should be pretty easy to disconnect them or even add a switch.

    I finally had mine replaced this morning and did end up going with the Carlite Soundscreen. Only thing that looks a little strange to me is that I can see a foam strip running across the very bottom of the new windshield from inside. I don't remember seeing any foam weatherstrip??????

    Grill looks pretty cool but I'm not sure about the black paint or wrap on the hood. What's on the hood????

    I just purchase a cheap new 28" blade at Wally, slide out the rubber, cut it to size and replace the original rubber on the old one without removing it. Not for everyone but I've been an SUV owner for a really long time.

    Same noise I was getting but now it's turned into a thunk when going over bumps. I replaced the sway bar links and had the suspension checked a few weeks ago. Everything is tight including ball joints and tierod ends. Like I said earlier, I'm gonna get to replacing the struts and strut mounts pretty soon. Enigma2 posted a good video in this thread about strut noise that may help: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22938-strut-noises/ Might be worth using your warranty depending on the deductible and please let us know what the problem was if ya get her repaired soon..

    Not many miles on your 14 are ya still under warranty??? My 2011 started doing what might be the same thing at around 65,000 miles. I'm thinking strut mount bearings and will be changing them soon.

    Just had the booster replaced today in my 2011 at 95,000 miles. Brakes were still functioning fine but that snake under the dash was getting louder and louder. The hissing is definitely a dead giveaway cuz the new booster is completely silent.

    I'd get her into a dealer or trans shop pretty quick. I'm far from an expert but would guess you have a seal/gasket going bad. Hopefully it can be repaired without tearing into the trans.

    Just to add to your thread, isn't there a simple test to check for a failing booster? My 2011 is starting to hiss a little louder.

    I just did the plugs in my 2011 with 90,000 miles on her. Changed them cold and didn't have any problems. I used a little anti-seize when installing the new plugs. A little tip for ya: just cut the tape to remove the wire harness running across the front of the intake and re-tape it when you're done. It's better and easier then trying to remove the plastic harness brackets.

    Thanks Addi. I usually rent tools from Advance Auto for free but might pick up that same set from Amazon. I'm over in the Plymouth area.
