I am in Canada. a 2011 SEL camera was not included nor available as an option

SO, when you have a car seat on either side, how much space is left in the middle? Is it useable?

So I've done some lurking and cant find anything so here I am asking. We have a 2011 Ford Edge SEL AWD (in Canada). 2011's only came with the backup camera in a Limited trim. One day while backing out the Sync through up an error message referencing the rear view camera was not working correctly?? Only happened one time. Looking at the 2012 models it looks like the camera comes on SEL now. I dont think I really need it but am curious if its an easy add on?? Do I just buy the camera and plug n play or does this require a dealer flash that they dont/wont do?? I assume the wiring must already be there?? Thanks

I have the same problem as you. I have tried mu;tiple downloads onto different thumb drives and it wont install.. Called Ford they walked me through it and said take it to the dealer. I wonder if the rewrite will do the same thing?? I

In that case disconnect your battery and clean the posts and/or terminal clamps......reattach tightly and try that.....seems thats a likley issue. You should also invest in some dithium grease and coat both clamps to prevent further corrosion. Try that first and post back.
