  1. Any update on this. I may want to do the same thing this summer on my ST. In the Beefnuts video, what is the red brace in the cargo area?
  2. So far so good. I cleared the DTC an it has not come back.
  3. Got the check engine light. Found the P0461-00:AC from the PCM P0461-C from OBDII. The Status says, DTC maturing-intermittent at time of request. I will clear the codes and see what happens. Hopefully it is a glitch in the system, not a problem in the making.
  4. I gave up on the Ford parts, both original and updated. I use TOGGLER TC wall anchors. I cut off enough of the vertical fins, that help grab drywall, to allow the toggle to go through a 3/8 inch fender washer. I hot glued 1" OD x 1/2" tall x 1/2" ID nylon spacers (McMaster #94639A876) to the inside of the covers. I inserted the toggler where the old Ford part was and then used the toggler tool to set the toggle. I did this two years ago and all are sill holding strong.
  5. I am pretty sure I got the Advanced Auto version of these. I ended up having to shave a milometer of plastic off the ends of the two engagement thingies. (not sure what they called) YMMV
  6. That makes sense. I guess you need a bigger freezer. 😀
  7. Maybe you could try holding some ice cubes over the camera area of the windshield. Or just block it with a post it note. I am not sure what causes the heater to be activated, but blocking the camera is a good start. John
  8. Did you have to do anything in Forscan, or did this work just by plugging it in?
  9. I don't think this is available on my 2019 ST. I wonder if it could be turned on with Forscan?
  10. There is a slight chance that the rear license plate is loose. I had a rattler that only happened at higher speeds. I did not figure it out until the plate almost fell off. The Ford capture nuts are not very good. It is easy to over tighten and break them.
  11. I can confirm a couple of things with regard to getting a new key, if you only have one key. The dealer van just left and the new remote is working perfectly. The cheap ebay remotes work fine. At least for my 2019. https://www.ebay.com/itm/383672810625 They are not Ford parts, but very good knockoffs. As dabansta says above. A used remote can be reprogrammed. Total cost $123 for the key and programming. Much better then the $300+ the dealer wants.
  12. Does the third key have to be new, or can a used key be used. In my case the used key would be from an edge of the same year.
  13. I used to put the Silverstar Ultras on my Edge company cars. Much better then OEM. An absolute no brainer IMHO.
  14. Wubster100, I did the cornering fog light mod in Forscan a while ago. It is on the same page as the fog light Bambi mod. I think there is a reference to it on this site somewhere, but I could not find it. John
  15. Great write up. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to hearing how you like the setup after they are completely broken in. I need to do the brakes on my ST soon.
  16. This gives me a lot to think about. The ABS module is not that expensive. Putting it in would be a pain on my bad back.
  17. Interesting. Does this also make it Stop and Go ACC? How much programing did you have to do.
  18. I second the use of a kit from MPC. I had one on an Edge and it worked great. Easy to install.
  19. I guess what I am looking for is not the same as most ST owners. While I love the performance of the car, I do get a little tired of the jarring ride on city streets. Especially expansion cracks in older concrete streets. I would like to have the ride be between the current ST and the SEL. We have both 2019 versions. I have still not given up on putting the Lincoln adaptive suspension on my ST. I have it pretty much figured out. I still need to know what frequency the PWM runs at. Other than that, I think I could make it work.
  20. They pop back into place pretty easily. Hopefully you did not break the shutter frame. The frame is pretty wimpy. I used 1/8 x 3/4 aluminum stock to make patches for the support. Drilled holes in the frame and aluminum, tapped the aluminum and used stainless screws to hold it together. Luckily there is room on both sides of the frame to do this.
  21. We had the same issue with my sons car. I forgot what we used, but really cleaning the carpet and any other cloth parts in the interior really helped. There are many videos on how to do this out there. The Ozone treatment helped a lot as well. You will never get rid of it completely. My son reports that he gets a slight smell on damp days.
  22. Strange, joins on Tuesday last week, posts this and then disappears.
  23. Details please. How did it change the way the Edge drove? What model Edge do you own?
