I am continuing to research the Ford Edge. Very close to either an abort or a commitment in buying an 07 SEL Plus Edge AWD. This is a fully loaded unit on hold at a local Ford dealership. 74,000KM. Very nice shape. $20,000CND. But I suspect that these vehicles are gas pigs, with sub-par brakes, much more so than most people are willing to admit. Which is a drag as I really like them. I know the 2011 is a much improved copy, but I'm not willing to take the very large depreciation that comes with buying new.

I am looking seriously at buying a 2007 Edge SEL Plus AWD, one owner, with about 55,000 miles on the clock. This a very well maintained unit, having seen the service records. The owner bought a new 2011 Edge. My biggest concern is the not so great gas mileage ( this appears to be a common complaint ). I am trading in an already fuel hungry SUV, and don't want to be saddled with disappointment if the Edge is pulling down 14MPG. Ford has made a great looking piece with the Edge.
