Major Upgrade (Rewrite) Details
CCL123 replied to netizenX's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Dumb question but do you need to register with ford online with that whole Sync Support thing or is this just going to be them sending you the USB in the mail automatically? -
Wow that sucks, Hope everyone is okay!

I LOVE them, I thought you actually have them on! This colours good since it does change it up from the black/silver colour. Can your car look any better?!
-
Which tires did you go with?
-
Nice! Can't wait for the pics! I'm still procrastinating to the max. We've already gotten a bit of snow and ice annnnnnnnd I'm still in summer mode I'm atleast slowly approaching the purchase of winter tires though with the amazing help of the forum people ......... hehe

Condensation ??
CCL123 replied to CCL123's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Thanks for the reply! It didn't happen before the rock chip but I don't really think that might be the problem since there's such a huge distance from the tiny rock chip to the condensation area. This morning I had to scrape some iice off my car and I noticed that there was thicker ice throughout the windshield, but a thin layer where it usually condenses on the inside :S There was also fog inside the windshield too -
This might be a little late, but this might be your sign for a wicked custom over lay :happy feet: from http://www.webxtremes.com/ (haven't tried them but many people seem to like them) you could replace the whole gel part too but i'm sure you'd have to go through the whole hassle of removing the area just surround the emblem to do that.

Hey guys, I don't know if I'm at the right place but lately as the weather got a little cooler I've been getting condesnation right at the bottom middle windshield inside. Someones it's just fog that you could wipe off but sometimes there's actually drips of water. We've never had this happen to any of our other cars before so this was a little odd. I do have a little rock chip at the far left, bottom, corner of my windshield but we got that glued up at Speedy's. Does anyone else have this too?

Ahhhh! That looks amazing!!! How much were the rims? I love how they look like the chrome limited ones, like you could use the chrome one as your summer rims for the extra bling :P, then use this for the winter

Yeah right now it is deciding between the Blizzak and the Michelin X-Ice Xi2. I went to visit my local tire guy AGAIN (im sure he hates me by now lol) and he said that since I'm bascially doing most driving in a region where theres gonna be more ice than slow I should go for either Michelin, Bridgestone, or Yokohama. The thing is though the Blizzaks are like 229 a tire i think at Costco with no rebate, and the Michelins are 235 a tire with $70 rebate. SO yeah i'm still deciding, deciding lol. Kinda procastinating a little too cause I don't want the summer rims to come off And thank you thank you for the info!

It went by the product code so BT4Z-8200-AA . I ordered this one http://www.partscheap.com/2011-2012-Ford-Edge-Painted-Grille-Inserts-p/bt4z-8200-aa.htm It came as primed black but I got it painted as a glossy black

Blacked out some chrome on the grill

LOL careful she doesn't come home and kill you... :P -
Oh my gosh, ok wow! Thank you for answering my questions! Yeah the only concern was that going for a different size other than stock would have been illegal or someting, lol
-
Has anyone tried Yokohama TI's? This tire centre near where I live said that it was the best for the Edge. They also told me to instead of going 245/60/18 to go 235/65/18, do people normally do this?
-
Ok! Thank you! I guess with the hard breaking i could just leave a longer distance, but other than that were there any other complaints?
-
Nice! Becareful though, I heard that chrome rims rust really really easily with the salt. What I did is that I bought summer rims without the TPMS (since we don't really need them in the summer), and am using my stock SEL Aluminim rims with the TPMS for the winter. We're also looking for a set of winter tires that might come to be $1000 installed, just that way we saved a few hundred dollars.
-
I have no idea how to install them as I got a body shop to do it for me, but I can tell you that you have to remove the chrome inserts inorder to put the black ones on. The body shop that I dealt with got them painted and installed for $150 but they had a hell of a hard time trying to remove the grilles. I know that in Canada Ford charges 360 just for the inserts but I ordered it online at Partscheap for 110. Keep in mind though Partscheap weren't able to get mine shipped out until a month after I placed my order due to "out of stock" status. :/

Oh wow ! ok ! Has anyone ever had experience with Hankook, I talked to some tire guy and he was saying that it was a good brand, but it might be becasue he had a whole bunch in his warehouse :S I know that I've had good experience with Dunlop all season tires but I'm not sure about the winter ones
-
Hi there, With winter coming I wanted to get some winter tires for the Canadian winter but I have no idea where to start! I've been reading reviews on Bridgestone Blizzak amongst others but I was hoping for some person experiences. Thank you in advance!!
