This may sound silly but check the center console, door pockets, glovebox etc for something that is sliding back and forth.
  2. akirby's post in ice cream machine was marked as the answer
We're both talking about old style freezers that use ice and salt but the crank is electric.

  3. akirby's post in 2014 Sport Mirror Turn Signals was marked as the answer
That was specifically for the 2014 model. The 2011 model doesn't indicate they're available at all.

It's possible the wiring is there but in recent years Ford has deleted unnecessary wiring in most cases so I wouldn't bet money on it. But probably worth checking.
  4. akirby's post in Hacking the Edge's keyless entry fob was marked as the answer
No. Your key has to be close to the door and on the same side of the vehicle so they can’t unlock the passenger side.

The relay hacking is theoretically possible but logistically very difficult. They have to get very close to your fob and know which vehicle is yours and have the sophisticated electronics. Highly unlikely.

The other question is why not just use a usb drive?

  7. akirby's post in Prospective buyer 2017 Edge Sport with Questions was marked as the answer
Just so you know both heated and cooled seat settings use the fan - it blows over a peltier device to create the heat and cooling.
  8. akirby's post in Basic Questions About Ordering was marked as the answer
    1. 4-12 weeks depending on your location
    2. part of the price - just a pre-downpayment
    3. there is a program the dealer can sign up for that gives you incentive protection - you can choose from the incentives in place at the time or order or the current ones (but you can't mix and match). Ask your dealer
    4. It's a regular incentive so #3 still applies, but ask specifically about the private cash rebate
5 Yep - with the exception of #3 if you have locked in incentives at order time.
  9. akirby's post in Life expectancy of keyless entry remote fob batteries? was marked as the answer
A message pops up on the left hand screen that says "replace fob battery"
  10. akirby's post in Loaded Edge Titanium 2016 without sunroof? was marked as the answer
Not available. You can get a loaded SEL or Sport without it or a base (300A) Titanium but it's part of the 301A and 302A Titanium packages.
  11. akirby's post in Regular versus premium gas for Ecoboost was marked as the answer
It's designed to yield a bit more power and mpg with premium (including some of the advertised power figures) but not enough for most people to really notice. Regular is fine.
  12. akirby's post in 2013 Ford Edge from FL in KY snow was marked as the answer
Absolutely, and I would find another dealer if they give you those kinds of BS answers.
  13. akirby's post in New or Used (off-lease)? was marked as the answer
That's CPO - certified pre owned.
  14. akirby's post in seat belt reminder disable for push to start was marked as the answer
It's not specific to key ignitions - it just says to turn on the ignition but don't start the vehicle. On a push button start vehicle you hit the start button without your foot on the brake.

Although I can't imagine why you'd want to disable it. Seat belts are extremely important.
  15. akirby's post in Weak engine start / Power issue was marked as the answer
I've never had a battery (factory or aftermarket) last more than 3 - 3.5 years. Some factors can affect that (temp, driving cycle, accessories) but you can also just get a bad cell sometimes. At this point I'd recommend getting a new one anyway just to be safe ($100 or so at most places). At least you would be able to rule that out and not worry about it for another 3-4 years.

Many many discussions already listed. Please read those first.

Yes. You can go back and forth whenever you like.
  18. akirby's post in First post help with Sync Upgrade was marked as the answer
There was one upgrade that required a dealer visit. Once that one is done you can do the rest yourself.
