That’s really up to you and what you value. You can see the order guide to see exactly what is different between the SE and SEL and decide how much that stuff is worth to you. It’s worth it to me but may not be to you. Nothing wrong with the V6 EXCEPT that the water pump is internal to the engine and if it fails it may destroy the entire engine. It’s not a common failure but it has happened a few times.

While I agree they should have updates available, I don’t think it’s fair to say it doesn’t work. Even if a new road or address isn’t in the database you can still find it.

No need to get your panties in a wad. If you don’t like the videos don’t watch them. Most people like them and find them either entertaining and/or useful.

It does generate some revenue for Ford and I’m sure a lot of folks would update the OEM maps instead of using Waze or something else. I think they may be having technical issues with the map downloads which they’ve never done before.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

Lower ride height doesn’t automatically mean better handling. I guarantee they tuned the spring rate, damping and ride height to wherever they wanted them just like they do on all their Ford Performance vehicles. -

I’m pretty sure the guys who tuned the Ford GT, Raptor and Mustang GT350 will do more than just stiffen the suspension. -
So what does the manual say for the European edges in N/M? If it’s a typo then those should also say 162 N/M.

He complained about the map updates on the current vehicle in another post, then added it here because he was still pissed I guess.

Your headlights suck

Correction - that was on a different forum. My permissions are messed up so I’ll have to get Robert to do it here but I hid the spam post in the meantime. -

lessonstar was flagged as a spammer. I told him/her to remove the novsights url from their signature (on here and blueovalforums) so instead they put a hyperlink in the post itself. Buh-bye! -
He’s pissed off about the lack of navigation map updates. I never buy them so it doesn’t bother me but it is silly they haven’t even offered any paid updates the last 2.5+ years.

Right now it’s only on the 2.0 but it does look like it may be on all models going forward. You can turn it off after you start the vehicle but we don’t know yet whether you’ll be able to disable it via a menu option. Given it’s for fuel economy purposes - probably not. Unfortunately it will probably show up on most vehicles within the next few years so it may be difficult to get away from it regardless of mfr.

The A/C button just turns the compressor on or off - it stays in auto mode. The system uses the A/C even in cold weather to dehumidify the air and prevent fogging. There is no reason to turn it off. If it gets too cold it will turn off the compressor automatically. Just leave it in Auto and change the set temp as needed and don’t worry about it. You’re not getting cold air just because it shows A/C on.

BTW - in Europe the ST models only get cosmetic upgrades - no performance upgrades.
-
You’re completely missing the point. ST means it was TUNED BY FORD PERFORMANCE. It doesn’t necessarily imply a specific type of tuning or performance. Ford Performance also makes the Ford GT supercar and Ford Raptor. Surely you don’t think those are in the same category as a Fiesta or Focus ST. You’re reading WAY too much into a simple name. The previous Edge Sport was not tuned by Ford Performance. It’s as simple as that.
-
Says who? And why not? ST comes from Ford Performance. Sport models don't. That implies a lot more performance engineering.
-
BTW there is no 9 speed auto - it's 8 speed.
-
This does leave room for an Edge RS if they wanted to do one - with the 3.0L EB, CCD and Torque Vectoring AWD.
