What happened to Sirius Presets?
akirby replied to bamabob's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Yep, you hit Replay by accident., Touch it again. -
Changing the coolant may or may not prevent failures. But for an owner it’s worth it regardless. It certainly won’t hurt.
-
But if you use the view new posts feature (like I do) you have no idea what forum it’s in.
-
How about 30K OR 24 months for the odometer challenged?
-
I agree that Ford should at least be changing the coolant fluid replacement interval to 30K as a preventative measure. Maybe even make it free up to the 60K powertrain warranty limit.
-
Because those are summer tires and the Pirellis are the only All Season tires available in that size.
-
There are no choices other than a more expensive Pirelli for all seasons. They seem fine to me - ours just got really noisy after 20K miles.
-
Just to clarify - that’s on a 2.7L ecoboost engine. You’re not getting 100 hp out of a 93 octane tune on a NA 3.5L.

Advance trac, abs, trac control
akirby replied to Jeramie630's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
That’s usually a bad wheel sensor or wheel sensor wiring. Codes should tell you which one if that’s it. Then check the wiring and the tone ring. -
Re windows - they are standard on higher trim levels and on the Lincoln MKX which is a better comparison to a BMW. That Edge Sport was probably $20K cheaper than that X5 when new. A few things to note since you're new to Ford - set a personal code for the keypad so you can remember it. You can use it to unlock the vehicle without a key or if you lock the keys in the vehicle. You can also lock the keys in the vehicle on purpose if you're somewhere you don't want keys in your pocket. Once you use that feature you won't want another vehicle without it. If it's AWD (can't remember if 2011 Sports were all AWD or not) then you'll want to read up on PTU maintenance.

A fart with a lump is bad luck. Everything else is poor planning.

2015 titanium remote start not working
akirby replied to jimbelk's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Low battery condition will cause it not to start as well. -
You probably accidentally have it filtered for only items I participate in or only items I created.

One other suggestion - talking slowly doesn’t work as well as talking normally or even a bit faster than normal. -

If you’re having a lot of problems with voice recognition try another vehicle - you might have a bad microphone. -

I use voice commands all the time including destinations and it works 95% of the time with no problems. The only ones that don’t work are strange names that are spelled differently than they sound. -
None personally but if you do a forum search (upper right corner you’ll find tons of info.

Chips don’t work - period. Don’t waste your time. A tuner is the only real option.

What exactly do you mean by Engine number?

Ford to offer SmartLink OBD add-on for pre-17 models?
akirby replied to RedEdge16's topic in Accessories & Modifications
They turned that feature off a couple of weeks ago. Or they’re about to. -
Yes I am. You can’t just create a new account after your other one was suspended and think that’s going to be ok. It’s not and if you do it again you won’t like the outcome. And yes we can tell.
