Better suspension, better brakes (standard), Ford Performance tuning. It's not just a sport with a big brake kit.
-
Current MSRP is $45K loaded, street price is more like $40K. So I would expect $45K street price. Even at $50K you're not going to find a similar sized vehicle with similar performance. You'll have to spend at least $60K I think. And used is not a valid comparison. You could say that about anything.
-
As for going with another vehicle - what options are there?
-
It can be turned off via a dash button.

Pricing should be within a few hundred of the current pricing for comparably equipped models. I expect the ST to be a few thousand higher than the current Sport. 18" rotors must be a typo - in the pictures they look to only be 14" or so compared to the 21" wheels. My guess on AWD disconnect is that it must be disconnecting the PTU - that's the only thing that would be new compared to the current system.

You can display both but you can't change how they're displayed or where they're displayed. -
Ford to offer SmartLink OBD add-on for pre-17 models?
akirby replied to RedEdge16's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Remote start is useful when you're close to the vehicle but outside the fob range such as in a parking garage or office building or you've parked a few blocks away. -
Pull fuse to turn off antilock brakes?
akirby replied to evh's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Brakes! not breaks. Most likely a bad wheel sensor or tone ring. Dealer may have to read the codes to see which wheel. You could inspect (or have someone inspect) the tone ring on each axle (sometimes they break loose) and the wiring going to the sensor. Otherwise if it's the sensor you need to replace it (if the code identifies it). -
Probably not plug and play but you should be able to make them fit with a custom bracket.

Blend door actuator or a faulty control unit. Do a search for blend door you should find some things to try first.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

Speaking of fart cannons, I'm getting sick and tired of these kids buying Infiniti G37s and putting on super loud fart cannon exhausts and waking up half the neighborhood. There is no reason for them to be that loud on city streets. -

Exactly. Penny wise, pound foolish. -
Ford to offer SmartLink OBD add-on for pre-17 models?
akirby replied to RedEdge16's topic in Accessories & Modifications
3 reasons: 1 - they announce things before they're actually ready and proven 2 - internal cost cutting leaves projects unfunded 3 - they run into technical issues that either they can't solve or can't afford to solve because of #2 They desperately need a great PR person to help them with what they announce and when. It's been a complete CF since Mulally left. -
Great for CA but not for the rest of us that need all seasons. Thanks for pointing out the option though.
-
Good catch. It's a very tiny footnote in the order guide. If the OP has FWD the 17s should work but if he has AWD you'll need the 245/60R18s to clear the brakes.
-
And the mere fact that they don't disclose this on their website makes me very apprehensive.....

Standard tire on the 2014 SE was 235/65R17 so those should work just fine. I don’t think the SEL had larger brakes and they should be the same diameter as the 20” tires. You probably can’t do 16s.

I can’t find anything that says whether the Atturos are summer or all season.

Many people have reported faulty aftermarket controllers (brand new ones). That’s why everyone recommends OEM.

For the Ranger recall (which is a do not drive situation) they are keeping the Ranger and yes, they are giving you a rental for as long as it takes which might be months.
