Also it's probably not a good idea to post late at night after a few drinky drinks......(just guessing here).

You don't get those on IOS - at least I don't. I haven't bothered to figure out why or how to get them back.
-
The plan details exactly what is and isn’t covered - go read the fine print online. I don’t think the vista roof is covered at all but not 100% sure.

The factory optimizes the TB size for balanced power and to match the other intake components. Unless you open up the intake you may not get more air into the engine. If you can get more air then you can get more power at WOT but you also run the risk of slowing down the air entering the engine and losing torque at lower RPM. You just need to decide what you want and understand the tradeoffs, especially if that’s the only modification.

NO paddle shifters on the 2019 Edge FWD... WHAT??

Sorry guys this was supposed to go to the MKX forum. -
NO paddle shifters on the 2019 Edge FWD... WHAT??

The order guide has finally been posted. I can’t copy it and repost it from my ipad so here’s the link: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/64419-2019-lincoln-mkxnautilus-production-information/?p=1036755 SelectShift is standard on all models not just AWD which makes sense. Adaptive cruise is still optional on all models including Black Label and Reserve. Ridiculous. It does say CCD suspension is standard on the Reserve models which would include FWD models. But it still says AWD includes the CCD suspension, so who knows for sure. -
You can estimate invoice from the MSRP. Also as soon as the build and price is released I can get you the X plan price which is about $150 above invoice.
-
It’s more about how you drive than the tune. A few WOT runs here and there aren’t going to hurt anything (although it certainly makes my wife yell at me).
-
Big difference between a stock regular edge suspension and a lowered sport suspension.
-
Dealers have pricing but it's not been published yet and the build and price isn't up yet.
-
You forgot this........
-
I forgot about the sport suspension. Mine are on a MKX.
-
Yes - that will cover lug nuts (120 - 200 newton meters) and other large suspension or brake bolts (I think). You might need to get a smaller one for very small parts but you definitely need the bigger one.
-
It’s done that way to make it easier for remote starting and auto stop/start. The computer controls the starter - it’s not tied directly to the ignition.
-
Go do your homework!
-
All (or most) Fords use an automatic starter now - once you turn the key it will keep turning the starter automatically. Normal.
-
I believe you're referring what we call a torque wrench. I can't interpret those specs but generally speaking you want at least 250 Newton/Meters of torque for lug nuts and chassis bolts. 3/8" is ok. 1/2" is better for larger bolts and nuts.

Sounds correct but the fan controller could also be bad.

NO paddle shifters on the 2019 Edge FWD... WHAT??
akirby replied to tk2fast's topic in Transaxle (FWD)
It is possible Sport mode will give you enough engine braking on steep mountain rodes. You'll just have to wait and test it to be sure. -
The difference from 20s to 21s wasn't noticeable to me but you'd have to go test drive them to see what you think. What pressure are you running and what are you experiencing?

It's not the engine, it's the programming (probably for better mpg). I have the 3.5LEB in my F150 and it does fine with downshifting on a steep hill to provide engine braking. You might need to put it in sport mode. My contact doesn't know for sure whether selectshift is really missing on FWD versions - we'll just have to wait and see. -
I would have to guess throttle body based on previous problems. But that's just a guess.
-
Before somebody reports this let me remind everyone that snmjim and Special_K are father/son. Normal forum etiquette rules don't apply!
-
The fact that the engine is being replaced is a good indication that whatever killed it most likely destroyed the cats as well. I would replace them.
-
You don't have to go 20% throttle. Pretty much anything less than WOT and you're not going to notice much. I'm just arguing semantics here about the term "negligible" in relation to a slightly faster car vs. one with more interior room. To the drag racer who likes to go WOT the extra power may be like night and day and the extra room is meaningless. But for most other buyers the extra room is significant and the extra power would go unused 98% of the time.
