New Motorcraft oil filter FL-2062-A vs the FL-2062
akirby replied to 1004ron's topic in 2.7L EcoBoost
Asking you to dial it back a little is power tripping? It’s called moderating. You keep apologizing for acting like a dick (your words) but you keep doing it over and over. You’re welcome to stay if you’ll just dial back the personal attacks. -

I didn’t say you were wrong I said it’s easy to understand why someone was confused. That’s a big difference between being confused about which vehicle (especially when you’re on one forum talking about a different vehicle) and questioning your expertise. So here’s my point - dial it back a little or we’ll see who wins the pissing contest with the moderator and it won’t be you. -

To be fair this is the Edge forum and the engine and tranny don’t have to be removed to do the water pump so that’s a pretty easy thing to confuse. How about you back off on the smugness just a tad? -
Yeah but has anyone seen both in person at the same time? Hmmmm…….

Just don’t shut the door all the way.

SUMMARY Please be advised that due to supply chain disruptions, we are forced to make an in-cycle film supplier change for 2 parts on the 22MY Ford Edge. The effective date for this in-cycle supplier change is Jan 6, 2022. All units produced prior to this date will feature the current film supplier. All units produced after this date will feature the new film supplier. The impacted parts are R044D84 (IP applique) and R044H83 (console top finish panel, with cupholder built in). No other parts are impacted by this film supplier change. This change may not be noticeable in isolation, however a side-by-side comparison of units produced before and after the effective date will make the change perceptible and obvious to the naked eye. The differences in color, pattern, and tactile sensation are modest. Every effort has been made to minimize the differences as much as possible. The appearance difference is not a result of off-quality parts or production errors. The new film supplier is subject to all the same quality standards as the current film supplier. The appearance difference is purely theresult of our need to execute an in-cycle film supplier change to sustain production of the 22MY Ford Edge.

Are you turning off traction control? That’s probably what’s causing issues - it cuts engine power. In snow you need some wheel spin. I can’t imagine fwd being better than AWD when used properly.

Ford Edge And Lincoln Nautilus Are Dead After 2023

This is old news. -
What temperature for the auto setting?
-
It’s easy to remove the battery. Remove the bracket in the bottom front and the battery slides forward to allow access to the terminals. And factory components don’t usually have labels.
-
Remove that one bracket at the front bottom and the whole battery slides forward. Super easy.
-
And your battery management system no longer works.

So you forgot to lock in your financing and you’re calling him the “genius”?

Check the codes.

We don’t get Diesel engines in North America so it may be difficult to find help on this one.

Supply chain issues are real and mostly due to port labor and trucking issues. Ports don’t have enough workers to offload the ships and not enough truckers thanks in part to stupid California over regulation. One guy I know had $70k worth of drum kits sitting on a ship in the harbor for over 3 weeks.

They must have started 2022 job 1 early. Good news.
-
They don’t build retail (sold) vehicles right away because the first ones off the line are held for inspection and may have to wait for repairs before being shipped. After 5 consecutive days of error free builds they start building and shipping the retail orders. If they go 4.9 days and get an error they have to start over. But in this case with no major changes I would expect yours to be built in the the next 2 weeks.
-
Most likely, but I think ok to buy will be quick with no major changes to the 22s so it’s possible if there are no big shipping delays.
-
Job 1 is the start of all builds for the new model year, so none have been built yet.

All Edges are made in Canada, block heaters are never standard on US vehicles, I don’t have the 2014 Canada order guide but I do see the 2021 Canada order guide and the block heater is standard, so I would guess they were standard in 2014 too.
