If the US is subsidizing farmers who are then exporting that to other countries and undercutting the local prices then it's exactly the same and I wouldn't blame those other countries for imposing tariffs in that situation. It's fair both ways. I thought you said the government is essentially giving them the trees as long as they plant new ones (which they would do anyway). That sure sounds like a subsidy making it far cheaper which to me counts as a subsidy. Can you do that in the US - lease land and take the trees for free? I'm just saying the playing field should be level and the foreign government should not be providing subsidies that make the imported goods cheaper.

Those are the optional 21s. The standard wheels have a machined aluminum outline on the spokes. From the order guide the brake package includes: 21” Premium Gloss Black-Painted Aluminum Wheels 18” Front and Rear Vented Disc Brake Rotors Brake Calipers – Painted Colorado Red Brushless Radiator Cooling Fan Performance Brake Pads Summer Only Tires Vented Brake Shields

I would guess that since the 2.0EB is used in less expensive vehicles it's harder to absorb the added cost. Whereas the others are used mostly in F150 and other higher priced vehicles.

So if the tariffs are permanent or at least long term wouldn't the US suppliers be able to expand to meet the demand? Maybe delay the tariffs for a year to allow them to do that? This is the problem that got us into this mess to start with. Another government subsidizes a business which allows that business to undercut US prices which causes the US mfrs to either lose jobs or not be able to expand. The end result is a loss of US jobs. Take away the government subsidy and it would be a much more fair playing field. That's the idea and I think it has a lot of merit. There might be short term impacts but those can be mitigated. I think the point is to start having those discussions instead of just sitting back and letting it keep happening. Besides, I didn't think people still bought newspapers.

I think these will be temporary (at least for Canada) and we'll see some negotiation soon. I think it's all part of making a bigger point about our allies paying their fair share (which probably doesn't apply as much to Canada). But even so - why can't newspapers get their newsprint from US sources? There can't be a huge price difference. Nobody is holding a gun to their head and forcing them to buy imported product. I'm sure that Canada isn't the only source. That's the whole point here - produce these things in the US which will create long term jobs.

Try this link. I'm not sure why the previous one isn't working - it looks identical. http://www.oilem.com/turbo-fuel-stratified-injection-tfsi-direct-port-injection-carbon-build-up-problem/

And there isn’t anything you can do to make it fail faster, so it’s a moot point. You should notice symptoms before braking is impaired.
-
It’s not a recall, it’s an extended warranty.
-
It’s still just an extended warranty and this problem only affects a small percentage of vehicles (relatively speaking). If yours hasn’t failed in 10 years or 150K miles then it obviously doesn’t have the defect.
-
What makes you think it’s going to fail if it hasn’t failed by 10 yrs/150K miles?
-
Agreed - let's stay on topic please.
-
I'm just saying if no suspension work was done and suddenly you can see the tire leaning in or out the only logical explanation is that something somewhere got damaged or came loose. I agree it needs to be properly diagnosed by a mechanic.

One piece. They're called Chrome Clad.
-
You can probably get aftermarket 20s that look just like the factory 21s a lot cheaper with more tire choices.
-
Beware there are very few options on 21" tires and the summer tires are really expensive. 20s will be a better choice.
-
No - the 21" wheels come with the brake package. They might be required for caliper clearance.
-
Well the problem is obvious. I can't see. You're right - I didn't notice that it was only available with the 401A package. You could always buy them separately and swap them or see if the dealer would do that for you. Probably cheaper to just get the package though. Even if you don't want the vista roof, leave it closed and enjoy the view.
-
If it's so bad you can actually see the camber then you probably have suspension damage.
-
Nope. The 21” wheels are available as a stand alone option on the ST.

How would you characterize the paint quality on your second gen. Edge?
akirby replied to Chipster's topic in Exterior & Body
Both. It's plastic and it's usually painted offsite. If it's really noticeable they'll respray them under warranty. -
You can submit new roads to google online. Not sure how long it takes them to make updates.

Official Release of V3.0 for SYNC3 Has Begun
akirby replied to jmr061's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Wi-if updates still don’t work. You need to go to owner.ford.com and use a USB drive for now. -
Maps are always out of date but until recently I think sync 3 was still using maps that were at least 3 years old. I do think you have to get the map updates from the dealer. Just don’t be surprised if they’re still a year or two out of date.

In addition to driving Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, Audis and Corvettes they also offer rides in a pace car with a pro driver. They have a pair of Mitsubishi Evo Xs and they put the hammer down even with 4 people in the car. It’s a thrill ride all by itself and if you’re driving it helps you learn the track a little before you drive. And it’s only about $50. http://www.thextremexperience.com Great Father’s Day, birthday or Christmas gift.

Owner.ford.com for software updates. You should be able to purchase navigation map updates now but yours should be up to date (or as up to date as Ford allows).
