  1. I guess you don’t understand Ford Performance. It’s the old SVT team. They do a lot more tuning than the regular Edge team did with the Sport. You didn’t answer the question - what else do you think they should have done with it?
  2. Quite a power difference from the 3.5NA to the 2.7LTT. Plus you get more traction with AWD.
  3. As long as it's not blocking the light output.
  4. By the time you apply torque management to the 3.0 you probably don't get any more than the tuned 2.7. Power to the wheels is probably the same. In RWD form with the 10 speed tranny the 3.0L can be fully unleashed.
  5. If I had a dime for every time a mechanic said a bad battery was good, I'd be sitting on a big ass pile of dimes.
  6. Smoking or tinting headlights is a really bad idea. But if you're going to ignore us and the law and do it anyway, just do it and don't try to rationalize it.
  7. What exactly makes you say this? The tuned 2.7LEB is pretty much at the platform maximum for power so nothing to add there. Big brake kit and a tuned suspension. Not sure what else you think it should have. It’s not a sports car.
  8. Just to clarify - those were passenger car tires not crossover tires. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy Continentals based on that experience. If only they made them to fit the 21s.
  9. I had Conti Cross Contact OEM tires on my Fusion. Never had an issue with them - good tires.
  10. You do if it gets below 40. And it gets below 40 in most of Texas.
  11. If you're going for all seasons you only have 2 Pirellis to choose from - the OEMs and one other. There are no other choices right now.
  12. Mine seems to be intermittent as well. I'm going to try disconnecting the battery.
  13. Yes but they have a lot of torque management to make them work. I was referring to the new Aviator and other CD6 vehicles which will be RWD.
  14. Just a guess here but I’m thinking the new drivetrain can only handle the 2.7L without torque management (or without too much TM). So adding the 3.0L may not buy much. 3.0L might end up being a longitudinal engine only.
  15. Having the same problem on our 2016 MKX left rear. Front works fine. LEDs don’t usually fail but controllers do. Or SJBs.
  16. They can absolutely change it using their IDS tool (not Forscan). Explain to them that it's no longer in the menu and that they need to change it with IDS.
  17. And you can always break the glass in case of an emergency. But this is really a moot point since any Ford dealer can turn them off.
  18. Old attachments aren't working for some reason. Here is a fresh copy. 2019 Edge Order Guide(4).pdf
  19. There is no liability issue. You can ALWAYS open the front doors whether they are locked or not. You can open the back doors by pulling on the handle twice. On other vehicles there was a user sequence that would enable and disable it.
  20. Steep roads are where they are most useful - holding a lower gear. It’s also useful for a quick downshift or two before pulling out to pass (you can do this from D - you don’t have to be in S - and it goes back to full automatic operation after a few seconds). People think you have to use it like a regular manual and shift through all the gears all the time but that’s not the case.
  21. My jack stands came with slots, but if yours don’t then you need both of those.
  22. Pads will give you the biggest improvement outside of larger calipers and rotors. Upgrading rotors with stock calipers would just be for looks.
