    Cooling fan issue

Aftermarket fan assemblies are DOA more often than they work. That’s why we recommend OEM/Motorcraft.
  2. Probably the same reason old attachments don't work. I'm pretty sure I've seen other posts in the view new content feed recently though so maybe it's just a temporary glitch.
  3. I don't know why this is so hard to understand. CPOs and ESPs are usually not bumper to bumper coverage. And they never cover damage.
  4. You said it wasn’t a covered part. Warranties are defects in materials or workmanship, not damage whether it’s a CPO or factory warranty. And you did not buy a new vehicle from Ford, you bought it used which does nothing for Ford. That’s another pet peeve. If you want Ford to help you then you should be helping Ford by buying a new vehicle. The dealer isn’t Ford - they’re independent businesses. If it’s supposed to be covered by the CPO warranty then I’m with you. If not you have no case.
  5. I think it’s the same one.
  6. I don’t like it when people think they’re entitled to something they’re not especially when it concerns warranties. Maybe I’m misinterpreting but both the steering wheel and the light looks like damage from the prior owner that Ford/CPO should not be covering.
  7. So the previous owner messed up the steering wheel and taillight, you bought a used vehicle with a warranty that doesn’t cover those things and now it’s their fault?
  8. Yes with Forscan. Or some have experimented with changes to the switch wiring with mixed results.
  9. Sorry but that does not look like a faulty part. It looks like damage of some kind which is probably why Ford won’t cover it.
  10. Well that’s easy enough to check. Either it’s listed as a covered part in your CPO warranty or it’s not.
  11. That’s the same power level as the current MKX 2.7L.
  12. A bad sensor would throw a code or at least illuminate the dash warning lights. Sounds like the ABS controller to me but I'm no expert.
  13. I get it, I just think it’s a bit of an overreaction. If you drive into a retention pond you can still open the doors from the inside with the handle even if they’re locked.
  14. But that doesnt cover the highly improbable scenario of the driver passing out in the garage with the engine running and the doors locked.
  15. What exactly makes it a “race” wheel? Looks like just a custom design.
  16. Are they saying it isn’t a covered part or something else?
  17. I still can’t believe you’re that worried about something that’s probably less likely than being hit by lightning.
  18. Check the brake switch behind the brake pedal - that's the brake shift interlock. Keeps you from shifting into park without your foot on the brake.

    Cooling fan issue

In that case I'd say you need a new fan assembly and controller. On the Edge they're sold together as one unit.

    Cooling fan issue

They can run after engine shutdown if the engine is too hot. See how long they run - if it's only a couple of minutes it's normal - check the coolant level.
  21. While I generally agree you also need to consider mileage not just age. A fellow with a 2017 F450 needed a new high pressure fuel pump a couple of months ago and wanted to know how to get Ford to help cover the cost since he was out of warranty. Then he explained that he had 278K miles!!!! Extreme case but you get the point.
