  1. Is your 2015 FWD or AWD? I wasn’t comparing it to the 2015 specifically, I was addressing the complaints from some of the testers about it being sluggish and not as fast as they expected it to be.
  2. Yep, treadwear warranty adjustments are common. But they do have to be down to the minimum spec as speciied by the tire mfr (I’ve seen some that say 3/32). And you are paying for that warranty so be sure to shop around even with the adjusted price. You might be able to find a different set even cheaper. But if you like those tires and want to stay with them, go for it.
  3. There is no way you can go to 5000 ft with the same engine tuning and boost levels and NOT see a reduction in power. Less oxygen = less power. FI engines do better than NA engines for sure but there is still a loss. Turbo lag also makes sense. Yet another fail by Ford’s marketing dept choosing that location.
  4. I just realized that these test drives were done at over 5000 feet above sea level. Even with forced induction you’re going to be down some HP.
  5. I know some of the reviewers said it was very slow off the line and slow to upshift. What else would it be? And no, I don’t have any Ford Performance connections.
  6. The 2nd question was why the 2015 sport was faster than the 2016 sport. I’m sure the problem with the ST is the transmission.
  7. The 2015 Sport was available as FWD. Starting with the 2016 all Sports are AWD.
  8. I don’t remember any bad reviews but the Edge ST gets its own unique tuning from Ford Performance.
  9. Yes but having it on the map doesn’t really help since you need to see the sign to get the frequency.
  10. I believe this tranny was developed with the 2.7L in mind so it should be capable of handling the torque with no problem, just like the 6F55 in the old sport. I don’t think it will handle more than that though since I don’t think they plan to put the 3.0L or 3.5L turbo engines in transverse applications going forward.
  11. Yes it’s the same tranny as the MKX with the same engine. If/when they release updated software they’ll issue a TSB and you can take it to the dealer, tell them it’s not shifting right and they’ll apply the new software under warranty.
  12. I guess that means turn on your radio for traffic info, but that's pretty useless without the frequency.
  13. Ford Performance already admitted the tranny software isn't 100% yet and it will be updated soon. Yet another case of Ford putting something into production before it was completely ready. It would be bad enough if they did that on the regular edge, but doing it on the ST is ridiculous. They probably should have delayed the ST a few months to make sure it was bulletproof especially considering this is the first Ford vehicle to get the new 8 speed. Then again, they wouldn't have the 2.7L available at all if they did that. I still say it won't hurt sales very much, but at the same time it's frustrating to see these avoidable mistakes over and over.
  14. So you have no presets at all to select from on the audio screen? With Sirius you might be in replay mode - just hit the replay button again and they'll come back. But that wouldn't affect AM/FM.
  15. When you say it didn't match I assume you mean they were showing fewer incentives than Ford? If so I agree - walk away. They're playing games. However, be aware that Ford has moved to more regional incentives and more often than not you'll get more rebates than what is shown on the national Ford website. If you can find a local dealer that posts the current rebates with their online prices that's the best way to see what's available in your area.
  16. The dealer is correct - sort of. On new models Ford only builds dealer stock orders until the factory produces error free vehicles for 5 straight days. This might take 5 days or 5 weeks. These dealer stock vehicles are held, inspected and repaired before they are shipped. Sometimes they end up being held at the factory for 1-3 months. Once they reach 4 straight days they give the OK to buy and then retail (sold orders) are built and shipped immediately. It’s possible one of those stock orders shows up before your retail order but it’s also possible the stock order gets stuck at the factory for an extra month or two or longer.
  17. It’s a special order because you ordered it. It means it’s already sold to a customer as opposed to just dealer stock.
  18. As pointed out in the other topic, just post the link and it happens by magic.
  19. A user on the Lincoln MKX forum just test drove a Nautilus with the 2.7L. He said it was very smooth and very powerful with no throttle lag and no turbo lag whatsoever. That bodes well for the Edge ST and makes it more likely that the reported test drive problems were defective vehicles.
  20. Sorry about that. I have no idea where that contact option forwards to - I don’t have anything to do with that. But on a related note I’m also not getting email notifications for reported content even though I have it set to do that. I guess the new software is still messed up. In the future please post a topic in the Help section and I’ll see it for sure.
  21. Technical Service Bulletin. It’s just a notice to dealerships on how to solve common problems.
  22. The easiest solution by far is simply to not close the door all the way. Option 2 is turn off the vehicle. It's already in Park so that's not a big deal unless you want to leave it running for hvac. Option 3 is to leave the fob in the vehicle. Option 4 is to use Forscan to disable it.
