  1. Are you able to teach the homelink from the original remote? I think I did that first, then pressed the learn button on the opener, then pressed the programmed home link button and held it for a few seconds.
  2. I expect they will, but you never know. Are we sure it's A plan? They're calling it Family plan which to me indicates X plan but that's just my guess and is probably wrong.
  3. If it's a rolling code opener (most new ones are) you have to press the Learn button on the opener. Check the opener's owner's manual.
  4. The phone itself could be defective - don't rule that out.
  5. That phone isn't listed on the Tested Phones chart. Did you give the phone a bluetooth name? Did you enable Bluetooth? Did you check for a firmware update for the phone?
  6. You are correct about the commercial, but I think that is simply the marketing department putting in stock footage rather than a subtle hint about which vehicles were getting it. Why didn't they show the Flex - we know for sure that it's getting it next year along with the Taurus? So it's certainly possible, and Ford is definitely getting better at keeping this stuff secret (we haven't even seen decent spy shots or insider details on the 2010 Fusion and it's only 6 months away) so it is possible. But I still don't think it's likely.
  7. Those are imperial gallons, not U.S. gallons.
  8. Those are imperial gallons, not U.S. gallons. 1 imperial gallon = 1.2 U.S. gallons.
  9. The Ford Ecoboost commercial doesn't say anything about the Edge. EB has been announced for the MKS, Taurus and Flex only. And the OP is asking IF it's planned for 2010 and I haven't seen anything from Ford or insiders that even hints about a 3.5L EB being put in the Edge.
  10. I don't think the current CD3 platform can handle that much power. The D3 platform (Taurus, MKS, Flex) had to be upgraded with basically a new front clip to handle it. I'd expect a 2.5L EB (current power, better Fuel economy) before the 3.5L EB in the Edge.
  11. Once again proving the old adage - you get what you pay for!
  12. Dealer invoice is a good deal (the rebates come from the factory so you can really ignore those when comparing dealer prices). I wouldn't expect to do much better than that unless the dealer had one they wanted to get rid of for some reason. Go to kbb.com or edmunds.com and look up the dealer invoice for the vehicle with the same options, etc. Add destination plus around $400 and you'll be very close to the actual dealer invoice. The $400 covers legitimate fees that the dealer pays like fuel and local dealer association advertising. These fees vary by vehicle and by location so they're not included in the online sites. This will get you to dealer invoice plus or minus $150. The dealer will also charge you a documentation fee which is usually $300-$400. If you had X plan you'd pay a few dollars below dealer invoice and only a $75 doc fee.
  13. Ford brake pedals are always a little spongy but it doesn't affect stopping power at all. That's because they're optimizing drag for better highway fuel economy. Plus the fact that almost nobody drives at highway speeds with the windows down anymore. What model iPod? Have you checked the syncmyride.com site for compatibility information?
  14. That's why they give you 18 different station presets and a steering wheel control to flip through them.
  15. If you want to get that picky, it's "MOTHERS Back-to-Black". No matter how you spell it - it works great.
  16. Mother's Back to Black or similar product made specifically to clean oxidized black plastic.
  17. The oil cooler is typically a separate unit mounted next to the radiator.
  18. You'd be better off simply calling the sales manager and asking if he/she has an Edge that they'd like to get rid of and would be willing to discount more than the rest. They'll know immediately and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how long it's been there but rather the options, colors, etc. How much do you really think this will save you? Just curious.
  19. That jump at 11k could coincide with a seasonal change in gas blends.
  20. They all have T-coolers. It's the oil cooler that's added. This is so simple. Hitch = tow package No Hitch = no tow package
  21. One thing to note - the 07s came with a camel colored dash that reflected significantly in the windshield. I know this was for the camel color - not sure about stone. For 08 they changed the camel dash to black and the stone is a dark grey which avoids the problem. I agree with bbf2530 - if you can afford the new one and you're keeping it more than 2-3 years, get the new one with Sync. You'll love it.
  22. It's almost always correct. How many miles? If you're over 10K or 1 year - have you changed the air filter? Are you doing a lot of idling or stop-n-go driving? Try resetting the avg MPH when you reset the avg MPG. If it's
  23. Nope - just reinforcing your point. Should have just replied instead of quoting.
