  1. It is if you add "and glance over your shoulder". But I digress.......
  2. I never said they were bad or shouldn't be installed. It's not bad to have a backup in case you forget to glance over your shoulder or your mirrors are not aimed to cover more of the blind spot. My point was that you don't NEED these mirrors to see what's in your blind spot. Some people imply that as justification for adding them and that's the part I don't like. I was just pointing out that there is an option to re-aim your mirrors to almost eliminate the blind spot that most people don't know about. I also understand that it comes across as criticism so I'll try to refrain from commenting.
  3. No need for name-calling. You asked a direct question and I gave you the correct answer. Nowhere did you ask if there was an option to turn it off (which is the opposite of what you were asking for in the first place). I didn't even say RTFM (even though I was thinking it) so I don't understand the hostility.
  4. Excuse me???? What part of "No" in post #2 was not an answer?
  5. Be careful on the stabilizer if you have ethanol in your gas (E-10). You need to get an alcohol compatible stabilizer.
  6. Great idea! Seriously - the only thing I object to is implying that you can't see what's in your "blind spot" without these mirrors which is totally untrue. I will try to stay out of future mod discussions since you modders obviously don't want to hear anything that disparages a potential mod.
  7. So "I Don't Like It" equals "Big Pain In The Ass"? I think not.
  8. The dealer was implying that he had used some magic type of paint sealer or wax that lasted forever. Which we all know is pure BS.
  9. I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. I just pointed out that the map light illuminates the glove box sufficiently for most tasks - something the OP probably didn't know. Why do all your mods have to be "worthwhile" or "necessary"? Why can't they just be for fun or personal preference?
  10. If you WANT light in the glovebox you can turn on the map light - you don't NEED to add another light. If you WANT to add a light then that's fine. Just don't try to rationalize everything.
  11. There's a difference between doing it for fun and doing it because you can't see in the glovebox.
  12. I was dead serious. If you can turn on the map light and see into the glovebox just fine (I just tried it and had no problems) then why do you need another light in the glovebox?
  13. Yes, it's very easy to turn on the map light. :shades:
  14. If not all you have to do is turn on the passenger side map light.
  15. The Michelin Latitude Tour HP that came as OEM on the 2008+ models has been great - no complaints whatsoever. The 18" version is only $128 on Tirerack.com right now.
  16. And the owner's manual only shows one - the OBD-II port. If it was a kill switch from the factory it would be in the owner's manual, and it's not. That is aftermarket.
  17. I've noticed exactly what folks are complaining about although it's not severe enough to cause problems for me (yet). The numbers tend to blend into the background at dusk.
  18. Could just be that the outside air vent is open and letting more engine sound through.
  19. I missed the part where you said you were in Canada. This is obviously a Canadian thing. They are not on U.S. vehicles nor are they in the U.S. owner's manual.
  20. That's still the OBD-II port. If there was a kill switch then it would be mentioned in the manual and it's not. Go back and look at the pictures again - the kill switch is to the left and mounted vertically, not horizontally like the obd-II port.
  21. No, no, no, no. That's NOT what we're talking about. That is the OBD-II port. Go back and look at the original pictures in the first post.
  22. I don't think either one of us could do that for long...... :shades:
