  1. Leave the flash drive in the car and keep the ipod in your pocket. Both problems solved.
  2. What about the all new MyFordTouch dash? Or the 2.0L Ecboost engine option? It's a MCE - what else were you expecting?
  3. I don't know whether it's solved or not, but it only appears to be a problem in colder climates. If you're in a warm climate you probably don't have much to worry about anyway.
  4. Sounds like a clogged cabin air filter. It's behind the glove box.
  5. Apparently that's not the answer he was looking for..........
  6. My opinion is the factory motorcraft filters work perfectly fine, so why not just buy a case of them online and be done with it? I've never heard of a problem caused by factory filters, and you certainly won't get any performance gains from it so why take the chance (and spend more money)?
  7. If you're not in a hurry, the 2011 Edge gets a new interior and some great new features along with new engines. They should be available for order within the next few weeks. That said, look up the dealer invoice price if possible, add about $500 to cover the advertising fees and that's roughly the true dealer invoice. Anything between that and $500 over invoice is reasonable (minus any rebates of course).
  8. Selling the 2010s is part of it. Ford will release the order guides to the dealers 6-8 weeks before production starts. You don't have to wait for them to just "show up" at the dealer to get pricing and option information - it will all be in the order guide. I can't imagine anyone who wants a sunroof NOT liking the Vista roof even more. Have you test driven one?
  9. A few isolated problems with the roof not closing properly have appeared but nothing widespread. The only thing an aftermarket sunroof would void is if installing it actually damaged something (wiring e.g.). Only damage specifically attributable to the installation of the sunroof would disallowed. It won't affect other warranty issues. Aftermarket sunroofs can be just as reliable as the factory roofs IF you have a good product with a good installer. In fact the good ones are probably identical to what the factory uses. The trick is finding a good shop that knows what they're doing. Check with the local dealers - they usually have shops on speed dial for customers who want one added to an in-stock vehicle.
  10. If your current lease is with Ford they will usually extend it for a few months until the 2011s come in.
  11. There is always a safety margin built into the towing specs but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. That seems WAY too heavy.
  12. You said you haven't seen anyone on here talk about a "chip". I was just clarifying that the reason for that is that they do not exist - just in case some people were still wondering.
  13. Welcome and please don't take this the wrong way, but could you please use some periods and capital letters? No caps or punctuations makes it very difficult to read your posts.
  14. Because you can't change the "chip" on any new Ford vehicle. It's all done with reprogramming now.
  15. Should be fine, but you might consider Polk Audio or Infinity Kappas with more choices available.
  16. 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 components up front if you have the separate tweeter in the corner of the window. 5x7/6x8 otherwise. 5x7/6x8 for the rear doors.
  17. Did it not occur to you that it was one of your electronic devices causing interference? Especially if it moved with you to the new model.
  18. At this point you are probably stuck with the original dealer. From the description I believe that your dealer is at least partially responsible for these problems and for not repairing them correctly the first time (or 2 or 3). It's possible that the dealer is lying about Ford not paying for more repairs, just to get rid of you. If it is true then it's probably because they believe the dealer is at fault here. None of that should affect your lemon law status so by all means pursue that, but let's try to put the blame where it really belongs or at least understand that this may not be all Ford's fault.
  19. Not the current explorer - the NEW 2011 explorer based on the same platform as the Flex and MKT. It should compete directly with the Pilot and Highlander.
  20. The engines aren't that much better plus the frame isn't changing. The MKT and Flex are on the D3 platform (or D4 according to some) while the Edge remains on CD3. It's smaller. The 2011 Explorer will do at least 5000 lbs, maybe 5500. And it has 3 rows like the Pilot and Highlander. That's the competition, not the Edge.
  21. I think the explorer was originally supposed to debut at the NY Auto Show but that got delayed until later this summer I believe. That probably changed their plans for the Edge 2.0L debut. We'll certainly know something by the time the 2011 order guides are finalized.
  22. Exactly. I don't see the problem. If it bothers you that much, don't use the washer.
  23. Since this is the featured engine for the new Explorer I think they're delaying information on purpose. Should see something soon though.
