Maybe key B was never programmed to the vehicle and only works with the aftermarket remote start? Try the normal programming procedure for key B, then see if it can be tied to the memory.

Oh, ok - that makes sense. The dealer can certainly tell you if your company is eligible and advise you to go get a pin and they would get points for that in my book. However, I would not hold it against a dealer if they did not go out of their way to do this. It's really up to the employee to know if they get a discount or not on specific products.

255/60R18? Seriously - you can go to a 255 or 265 size - you would just need to go to a 50 or 55 series to keep the overall size the same. Do a google search for tire diameter calculators and you can find a 50 or 55 series size with close to the same circumference. Just curious - why do you want wider tires?

Start by replacing the door speakers with good ones - Polk Audio or Infinity are both good choices. Then add a powered sub if you want more bass. You can get one that fits the factory location if you don't want a big box. You could add an amp but at that point you're probably looking at an aftermarket head unit for more improvement.

Numerically higher is actually better for towing - gives you more oomph off the line. Most towing packages give a numerically higher axle ratio which yields more power at lower RPM. As long as the vehicle itself is still rated for 1800 lbs (I think it's at least 3000) then you're actually better off with the Sport.

When you look at invoice prices online none of them include the FDAF or fuel charge because it varies from vehicle to vehicle depending on geographic location and the numbers above sound correct. So if you're trying to get the true dealer invoice price you need to add about $500 to what's shown at cars.com or edmunds.com or kbb.com. Note that this does NOT affect the X plan price. The X plan price is already printed on the invoice and includes everything. You do NOT add FDAF or fuel charge to the X plan price. wilsons66604 - you said Why would a dealer "offer" X plan to anyone? It's only valid if the customer has a X plan pin already. The dealer cannot use X plan without a customer supplied PIN and the dealer is specifically prohibited from obtaining PINs for customers or helping customers obtain PINs. Plan sales (A/Z/D/X) also receive a spiff check from Ford for a few hundred bucks in addition to the $75 doc fee. Dealers can choose to sell at the X plan price if they want to and they can even keep the $75 doc fee but they won't get the spiff check without an actual pin and that has to be customer supplied.

Don't bother. Take it to the dealer where they have a machine that will remove and replace 95% of the fluid. There is no need to repeat the procedure. Just draining the fluid won't get more than about half of the old fluid out.

The dealer can turn them on via their diagnostic tool (computer). If they have auto-headlamps you could also just cover the sensor in the middle of the dash and that should keep the lights on all the time and the gauges lit.

Warranty should cover it but the question is who can do the repair? BTW the PTU has nothing to do with shifting - it sends power to the rear wheels only.

With X plan you get all public incentives and some additional ones in special circumstances. You would never get less incentives with X plan than without.

I got one of the first Fusions to roll off the truck in fall 2005. Solid as a rock with only one minor issue that I fixed myself. There have been a few engineering problems like the PTU seals and coolant gurgling noise on the 2010 Fusions but overall you just don't see new model year issues like you used to and most are easily fixed one time and don't reoccur.

Could also be the security system - may not be reading the key correctly. Have you tried it with a different key? How often does it happen? If your dealer won't work with you to figure it out, go find another dealer that will. There's not much Ford can do since the dealers do the work. Keep trying.

Marc - the only way to be sure is to put in 5 litres, then check the level and add oil as needed to bring it up to the full line. Make sure you wait a few minutes after turning off the engine so that the oil has time to drain back into the pan.

You can't compare prices between countries - period. There are too many factors that go into the local pricing that go beyond exchange rates.

Incentives are not locked in when you order - you get whatever is currently in place when you take delivery, so you don't have to wait until June 30th to order to get the post June 30th incentives.
