  1. So stealing is justified just because you think the price is too high? I think the price of a Porsche Cayman S is a little too high - would you mind stealing one for me? If you don't like the price then don't buy it. There is no way you can justify stealing it. Just because something is electronic (like DVD movies or songs) and is easy to copy does not mean it's ok. And it's not just a moral issue. How would you feel if you were selling DVDs or CDs to make a living and everyone just went out and copied them illegally and you got no money for all your hard work? I don't think so. But then again people like you don't care about anyone else - you only care about yourself and what you can get for nothing.
  2. Other than installing them yourself - nothing. You can only get the options as they're offered.
  3. Congratulations! So what are you planning to steal next week?
  4. No. Leave it in media mode instead of map mode and you won't have to hit agree. Only use map mode when you're using the Nav.
  5. It doesn't matter whether the key is in the ignition or not - the ignition is still OFF so it flashes just like the manual says. It's working normally. If it wasn't you wouldn't be able to start the vehicle.
  6. Not a safety issue at all. This has been a common issue on some Fords for over a decade. Why they still haven't fixed it is beyond me. But it's just a minor annoyance.
  7. I doubt you'd get any additional discount - employee pricing is way below invoice already although it wouldn't hurt to ask. You'll get the same pricing on a special order according to a previous post. You can choose the pricing in effect at the time you order OR the pricing in effect at the time you take delivery, but you can't mix and match prices and incentives. Employee pricing is really just a 4% rebate. Order it and get what you want if you're not in a hurry.
  8. How else would he be getting the shipment info?
  9. A would use a few drops of car wash soap in a quart of warm water. Dishwashing soap should also work. A 2x4 would also work really well......... (for knocking the yahoo that did this in the head)
  10. Or it's possible that he gets dozens of PMs every day and he's just tired of redirecting people to the forum. I know I would be. Then again he may just be an A-hole.
  11. I can understand that. He uses the threads to go back and do periodic updates which he could not do with a PM or email. It makes it easier for him and since he's doing it for free I don't think that's asking too much. Why would anyone not want to post their VIN?
  12. Michelin Pilot LTX. Those were OE on my 08 Limited. Absolutely no complaints.
  13. Sorry - for some reason I thought you wanted to disable the reverse sensor while you were towing the Edge, not the other way around. My mistake. The instructions for turning it off are in the owner's manual. You should be able to do it temporarily through the message center while you're in reverse or permanently via the setup menu but be aware older edges would not retain the setup menu setting after you restart the vehicle. Hopefully they've fixed it.
  14. Yes but why would you need to? It only activates when the ignition is on and the transmission is in reverse.
  15. I skipped this originally because the title didn't suggest that you were looking for help and it was posted in the Welcome forum. I just thought you were saying hi. Try going through the setup menu to change the settings while the vehicle is in park. If that's what you're doing then it's probably a bug in the code. The backup sensor settings did the same thing on the 08 models - it didn't remember the setting. But definitely check with the dealer - there may be something they can set in the PCM that will do it permanently or maybe yours got the wrong factory programming. I would think metric would be the default for canadian vehicles (unless you imported it from the U.S.).
  16. And no - I have no idea why he calls it that. I also cannot believe that a hood prop rod would snap in half for no reason.
  17. Somehow the filter option got set to Today only - I'm sure it wasn't on purpose. Click on the bar at the bottom and change the filter options to show ALL posts. Send a note to Staff to check the default setting.
  18. Don't bother - it doesn't work. Not sure if Buzzman was being sarcastic or serious but either way it's a waste of money.
  19. Ford doesn't deliver any vehicles that a dealer doesn't order. That would, in fact, be illegal unless they're giving them away for free. They're yanking your chain.
  20. Page 324 of the owner's manual in the link I gave you says the following (it's in the table where it lists all of the fluid specs and part numbers). Not sure how you missed it. Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil (US) Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Super Premium Motor Oil (Canada)
  21. That's BS. EVERYTHING is covered under the bumper to bumper warranty unless you did something that caused it to fail.
  22. No. If it bothers you that much just turn it on and turn the volume all the way down. Do you really drive a lot with it completely off?
