  1. If something breaks they can usually tell that it wasn’t stock by the way it fails.
  2. It's all conveniently explained in detail in the owner's manual.
  3. I don't think so. But you can raise up the garage door so that it stops higher and set the liftgate so it stops lower.
  4. Or you could just not close the door all the way.
  5. On my F150 there doesn't seem to be a delay unless I move my foot from brake to gas really really quickly. I do release the brake a split second sooner than I normally would and if I need to make a quick immediate turn from a stop I'll turn it off. Otherwise it works fine. I guess my main point is to actually try it and see if you can live with it first (which you seem to have done) and don't just assume you'll hate it without giving it at least a couple of weeks.
  6. Like I said, if you actually try it with an open mind rather than making your mind up that you hate it ahead of time most people will find that it's not that bad and it does save fuel. I got used to it after a couple of weeks.
  7. Auto stop start won't kill the starter - it's already upgraded along with the battery and other components. It actually works well 95% of the time if you just let it do what it wants to do. There is NO reason to turn off trailer sway or stability control 95%+ of the time.
  8. In GA it’s hard to notice since most people don’t use their turn signals at all. Or what really gripes my butt is when they turn on the blinker AFTER they enter the turn only lane. Hello......you need to tell me that you’re entering the turn lane. Once you’re in it you don’t need it.
  9. The 40 minutes is to allow the keep alive stuff to stop, but I agree most things should be off after 10.

    Your Price

Just to be pedantic - I only see $5750 in rebates. Dealer discount is not a rebate.
  11. I would wait about 45 minutes to be safe.
  12. Just because the vehicle starts doesn't mean the battery isn't flaky. Have it checked with a digital tester that checks CCAs and replace it if it's not up to snuff. Weak batteries do cause all sorts of strange seemingly unrelated issues. Second guess would be loose PCM wires or a bad ground.
  13. He meant that it was off center not that he had modified it.
  14. The 2.0L is much more complicated - has 4 long tubes and connectors all over the engine bay. Took me about 3 hours on daughter's escape because I had to remove the wipers and cowl to get to the rear one.
  15. Nobody that knows is talking but the last two numbers are torque capacity and the xx35 trannies are only good up to about 300 lb/ft while the xx57 is good up to about 400 lb/ft or more. As to why they used the old 6F as the basis for the 8F57 and not the 8F35 (like they did with the 6F35, 55 and 57) is anybody's guess at this point. Either there were technical issues or it was cheaper/faster.
  16. Which was also a joint GM/Ford design.
  17. It can feel and sound different. Whether it's normal or not is hard to say - best to get the dealer to let you test another one and see if it's the same.
  18. When the purge valve fails it can allow fuel into the canister - especially if you overfill the tank. That's another reason not to go beyond the first click.
  19. Why is such a big deal? You can still open the doors from the inside without unlocking them. Although I agree there should be an option in the menu to turn it off.
  20. The issue was only with cooling - heating should work fine.
  21. I know that, I was addressing jcrew7384 when he said his donut spare wasn't 21".
  22. It’s not the size of the wheel it’s the size of the tire. You can have the same size (circumference/diameter) tire with a 18, 19, 20, 21 or 22 inch wheel.
  23. Boss Audio was never a Ford factory option. That's aftermarket.
