HID was only available on the Titanium with the 302A package or the Sport with the 401A package so no, not standard in either case. They are packaged with lane keeping and the front 180 degree camera if that helps. Caveat - I only checked the 2016 but I don't think that changed for the later models.

That's all you can do then. It's possible the software and connections are still there if you wanted to add the paddles yourself. Not sure what that involves partswise and there is no guarantee it will work but it's worked in the past on other vehicles.
-
What options do you have on the transmission gear selector - does it still have S mode? If so then that will help a little but you won't be able to force it to stay in 1st or 2nd gear. Also - double check to see if you have +/- buttons on the shifter.
-
For 2019 you only get Selectshift with AWD. No idea why they did that but yours doesn't have selectshift thus no paddles.

I agree - fooling sensors is not a good idea. Tunes can adjust all parameters as needed including A/F ratio while keeping sensors stock.

Passing this on to Robert.....

Thats a good guess especially when it says that in the title!

No it’s not a fake site but you posted this question in the wrong forum ( this is for problems with the website) and you didn’t provide much information. Try posting more details in the correct forum.

The engine replacement itself isn't an issue to me. The dirtiness and the A/C problem says to me the repair was sloppy so you don't know what else they forgot to do or did wrong. The mileage in the cluster being wrong doesn't make sense and wouldn't be connected to an engine replacement. I don't think you're getting the whole story. There are dozens of other similar vehicles available - why take a chance?

Way too many red flags there.

Oops - I forgot you were the one getting the new TC. You should have mentioned that.
-
That sounds like a hardware issue (torque converter maybe).
-
I have to admit the whole planetary/sun/ring gear thing still has me perplexed a little.

You should reset the computer average at each fillup (use trip 2 and keep trip 1 cumulative).

Probably not the algorithm at fault. I have 32+ years in IT starting in software development. I can think of over a dozen root causes for something like that. I'm sure if they had been told about it and given time to analyze it they would have fixed it but by that time they were onto other projects. That tranny was also used in the Explorer and Ranger and it was unique at the time. To get 5 speeds out of a 3 spd overdrive tranny they engaged the overdrive twice. So instead of: 1 2 3 3+OD You had 1 1+OD 2 3 3+OD So the shift from 2nd to 3rd required two things to happen at once - shift the 3 spd from 1st to 2nd and disengage the OD. That was tricky. Actually worked pretty well considering. That was also the very first selectshift transmission debuting in mid 1999.

Do a forum search - there are multiple topics already posted.

That was the case in my Lincoln LS. Clearing the table made it shift better in most cases. We even knew the guy whose team did the software and he couldn’t explain it either.
-
Why not let the dealer do a full fluid exchange which gets everything including the torque converter?
-
Folk who have seen the real thing say it looks more like a Porsche Panamera. The rendering above is somebody's guess because they said it would have some mustang styling. Fake news.
-
The actual vehicle is a BEV - all electric. The rendering is completely wrong about everything.

It's more useful when you want to hold a lower gear like on twisty roads or when descending a mountain. I've also used it to start off in 2nd gear sometimes. For everyday driving the forced downshift that you described is the only real benefit.

Just because someone is having shift issues doesn't necessarily mean it's the software or that it's the same problem as others. Sometimes it's just a hardware issue.
