  1. Well, it should be. That said, why wouldn't you just check with the dealer's parts dept?
  2. It will be backwards compatible because the hardware is the same.
  3. Could be for the built-in web browser that hasn't shown up yet.
  4. What the heck is that supposed to mean?
  5. My 08 Limited does. I just cleaned it yesterday.
  6. Did you happen to get a carwash at the gas station or do something else to get the rotors wet?
  7. My advice is not to talk back to the moderator when he says "last warning". Enjoy your 2 day vacation.
  8. No, you're going to back off or you can take a little vacation. 1. Do not blame Ford/Sync because the cell phone mfr chose not to implement the correct bluetooth profiles 2. Do not argue with other people about what they are or are not experiencing on their own vehicles 3. Do not make blanket statements without facts LAST warning.
  9. Feel free to comment on YOUR experiences. You do NOT need to comment on other people's experiences. You don't know every single 2011 Edge MFT owner so you can't possibly know who has problems and who doesn't outside of a few people on this board. And stop putting blame where it doesn't belong. There is enough blame for Ford without you constantly blaming them for stuff that isn't their fault. Last warning.
  10. I think the 18s were about $200 cheaper. That's still a good price.
  11. Of course they do. But if one side implements the profiles and the other doesn't, then it's the fault of the one who hasn't implemented it. We know Sync has it because it works with some phones. You really need to stop the blame game. We've acknowledged where Ford has made mistakes. But you keep putting blame where it doesn't belong and you keep making broad statements that aren't really true. Give it a rest.
  12. So you're finally acknowledging that it's the phone, not sync? We're making progress!!
  13. I show X plan to be 36,944 for a 2011 SEL AWD 202A, 20" chrome wheels, Vista roof and Nav. That puts dealer invoice right about $36,815 give or take. $36,962 is a relatively good deal if the documentation fee is not too high and you get all available rebates on top of that price. Only the dealer can tell you which incentives you qualify for using VINCENT. It's based on your information and the specific vehicle. As for the 2011s being cheaper because the 2012s are coming - that only comes into play if the dealer has a lot of leftover 2011s that aren't selling well and I doubt that's the case, especially with Bordeaux Red. All you can really do to compare is to call around to different dealers and get their best price. Be sure to include the doc fee - that can be several hundred bucks in additional dealer profit.
  14. Plenty of existing threads on the subject of bugs: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/7301-ba-bye-salt-hello-bugs/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/7826-dead-bugs-residuebest-way-to-clean/
  15. Could be a hardware problem. I'd get 2.11 first and see if it fixes it.
  16. I've deleted and edited some posts. Cut out the personal attacks.
  17. That's what I meant. If you did one wax job with regular carnauba then did the next one with the tinted carnauba do you think the owner would notice the difference?
  18. That sounds like a great feature to me........
  19. Black book is the local book that the dealers actually use to track wholesale prices based on auctions. It takes into account local conditions and up to the week supply and demand constraints. I don't think it's available online but if you know someone at the dealership they can probably check it for you. Why not? Let's say you're the used car sales manager. You can buy a nice used 2008 Edge at auction for $X or you can buy a nice used 2008 Edge from akirby for $X + $2K. The retail price is the same so why would you pay more for mine than you would for the same vehicle at auction? There are exceptions for cars that are unique or in short supply/hard to find at auction or a car that the dealer thinks will fetch a premium over a typical auction car. But realistically, when you trade-in a vehicle you're only getting wholesale value (black book). Anything above that is coming from the new car deal (outside of the exceptions). What are used ones selling for? That's probably the best gauge.
  20. They're typically ignored everywhere just like other popular but not DOT legal mods like smoked headlamps and taillamps and wiring fogs to stay on with brights. My guess is some lawmaker had a problem and decided to make it a state law.
