  1. Moved to tuning section.
  2. Ouch. I don't think that will buff out. It would be cheaper to get the door shell and have it painted and install it yourself but you'd have to do the alignment which can be tricky. Personally I'd let insurance take care of it or get another quote to see if someone would do it cheaper.
  3. I found the old thread talking about this from 2015. It's coming from the heat shield by the muffler.
  4. Nailed it. Not the first time a brand new Dorman unit was defective. I got lucky - mine worked and we traded the Edge within a couple of months.
  5. This ^^^. It's comprehensive coverage. I would make a report and let them know you're letting it dry out to assess the damage. That way if something pops up in a week or two you're covered.
  6. In case you missed it - it was set up a few days ago since we already have forums for each engine. Thinking we may need separate sub forums for the 2.0 and 2.7 instead of one for both. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/forum/68-tuning/ https://www.fordedgeforum.com/forum/86-tuning/
  7. Unfortunately the old documents are MIA. Try these videos instead:
  8. There seem to be some bad Torque Converter solenoids out there causing bucking issues.
  9. With or without factory tow package?
  10. Simple. Those extra rebates are coming from the local dealer associations. Every vehicle that is sold carries a dealer advertising fee which is usually around $300-$600. They can use that for advertising and/or rebates. Ford also targets certain parts of the country based on inventory or local market conditions. It's been that way for several years now. You almost never see all the rebates on the Ford national website.
  11. Dormans suck - that might either be a bad unit or the connection isn't good. I would assume the temp sensor is the same one that's feeding the temp gauge so if that shows it overheating then that's probably not the problem.
  12. Far more likely that it's due to intake and exhaust routing differences between transverse and longitudinal since the 8F57 was designed specifically for the 2.7LEB and has a higher torque rating than the 6F55 that was used with the 3.5LEB in the Explorer, Taurus, Flex, MKT and MKS.
  13. That sounds plausible but I would ask for the codes that show it was the steering angle sensor and not a wheel speed sensor.
  14. TSBs are not recalls and they're not free unless you're under warranty or they extend warranty coverage on that issue. If you're getting those done for free outside of the factory warranty then the dealer is doing it on their dime and that's not likely to happen anywhere else.
  15. That's a ridiculous statement. All Ford engines are tested for at least 150K miles, some even longer.
  16. Wow - had no idea the rebates were that high. Local dealer is advertising $9200 off MSRP. Is yours a 2018 or 2019?
  17. There are two very different ecoboost engines- should we have separate forums for the 2.0 and 2.7?
  18. Also big difference in the intake and exhaust due to FWD vs RWD.
  19. A button would be better but you can always use voice commands to change sources. Almost all new vehicles default cruise control to off for safety. What exactly are you trying to do with the climate control?
  20. Simple - when you start the vehicle the lights will move back and forth. Just make sure you're parked in front of a wall or garage door at night and you'll see if they move.
