In some cases there have also been hardware problems. If 2.11 is not stable and you've tried a master reset then I would start leaning towards a bad APIM.
It's not released yet. This was done at the dealer show.
But if it's working as a prototype then production shouldn't be too far away. I'm thinking around March or April.
Just to clarify - those charges are part of the actual dealer invoice that the dealer pays Ford. They're simply broken out as separate line items and because the advertising charge varies from city to city it's not included in any of the online car pricing sites like edmunds or kbb or nada.
The fees are used to support the local advertising campaigns (brought to you by your "Greater Ford Dealers".
You should really just negotiate off true dealer invoice or x plan price which is clearly printed on the invoice. A good dealer won't have any problem negotiating that way or showing you the invoice.
How do you get swirls from cloth strips that move gently back and forth and not in a circle? And I don't think opti-coat or any other sealant is permanent.

Maryland doesn't add points therefore it wouldn't be reported to NJ or your insurance - at least that's the way I interpret it.
Sounds similar to the ones around here that use gently moving cloth strips. The professionals will tell you that you're damaging your paint but I've used that type of car wash on both light and very dark cars for years with no visible scratches or spider webs. The professionals will tell you not to do it. Ultimately it's your decision.
That's a neat gadget but if it was me I'd use keyport for non-automotive keys and maybe for the key to a secondary vehicle but keep the OEM key for the Edge.
Did you get the text on the phone? If you get a text on the phone while it's connected it should notify you and give you the option of having it read. There could also be a setting in the newer models to do it automatically or turn it off or on. If your phone doesn't get the text then nothing will happen.
LooseCannon - there is no need for that type of response. I'll give Authurfang the benefit of the doubt for now and if he turns out to be a spammer then I'll take care of it. Watch the language.
Thank goodness you didn't endorse the check. You have all the leverage in the world. Go back and tell them it's not fixed and give them one more chance to fix it before you take it somewhere else. Also let the insurance agent know what happened.
I guess I was assuming the Escape was a 4 cylinder. Ford has made a lot of technology improvements in the new V6s. My 06 Fusion 3.0L is terrible so I wouldn't doubt a new Edge could get the same mileage as a 3.0L Escape.
From a financial standpoint - sure, but don't let that stop you. I usually don't. That's quite an upgrade but you'll take a hit on fuel economy. That and the cost are the only downsides I can think of.
When smart phones first came out I was thinking they should have some type of universal A/V input (HDMI maybe?) that would allow the phone applications to use the touch screen and audio speakers and voice command in the vehicle. I think applink will be capable of this at some point since it just provides APIs. But getting the phone apps to support it won't be easy - they're used to only dealing with small built-in displays.
Then again that would make OEM navigation obsolete so that's not a good incentive for Ford.
