  1. The average for full coverage up to 7 yrs/100K seems to be around $1500.
  2. Sorry - I misread your post. I thought your post indicagted that the salesman said you can NOT order the Edge with cooled seats. My bad.

    NEW HERE

Not sure what you mean by "programming". Please explain. There isn't much difference that I recall between the 08, 09 or 10 models. Maybe someone else remembers something.
  4. Reread what Scorpio wrote. He said no cooled seats on the Edge. The other part was about HIDs on the limited, not cooled seats. The salesman was correct.
  5. Check behind the glovebox. Should be the same as my Fusion - 3 bolts/screws from underneath.
  6. That was the original speculation but all you need to do is move it back about 8 inches. I'm starting to think it just wasn't a priority and they had lots more to worry about.
  7. My 97 Explorer had the same thing, so Ford knows how to build them. Not sure why they didn't do them for the Edge or other new CUVs/SUVs.
  8. That's my guess. There are several modules that perform multiple functions. Since some models support global window open and close as well as remote lock and unlock from the keyfob it would make sense that it's all in the same module (but not 100% guaranteed). You should be able to find out from a wiring diagram or just check with the service dept at the dealership.
  9. Sounds like a module problem but I don't remember the name or location of the one that controls the windows and door locks.
  10. The TSB to replace the bearings includes replacing the trailing arms so those should all be covered. Did the dealer mention the TSB? Did they contact Ford? The trailing arms are the cause of the bearing failures. They were either defective or had some design problem that has been corrected so if those were replaced it should not reoccur. You might want to ask another dealer about the trailing arms being covered under powertrain warranty due to the TSB.
  11. My guess is an ETC problem (Electronic Throttle Control).
  12. Lo and behold - I was driving my daughter's 2012 Focus Sunday night while she's out of town and right there on the left side of the gauge display is a lights on indicator. So maybe this will be a new trend.
  13. Most likely and if not they can load it for you before you take delivery.
  14. It doesn't matter how you bleed them. You can use the 2 person method with one person pressing the brakes as the other one opens and closes the valve or use either a pressure or vacuum bleeder. I think the pressure bleeders work better than the vacuum bleeders. You can also get "speed bleeders" - they're one-way bleeder valves that let you use the brake pedal by yourself.
  15. You still need to have the engine running or the ABS valves won't open. Trust me on this one.........
  16. There is a search box on the right side just below the Edge pictures.
  17. With newer cars that have 4 channel ABS you need to have the engine running while you bleed them so the ABS valves are open.
  18. I doubt that it's setup to share the usb drive over the network, but you can always do a scan from your computer to see.
  19. It's mostly MFT and complaints about the dry clutch DSG in the Fiesta and Fusion. A lot of the complaints are valid but some are just unfamiliarity with new technology.
  20. There are several threads already posted over the last year, but the latest release has been reported to fix most of the problems. An entirely new version written by a different development team will be ready within a few months so any remaining problems should be fixed by then. Worst case it may freeze or reboot occasionally - it's not going to leave you stranded anywhere.
  21. You mean factory fog lights? Why?
