    Battery issues

Even new batteries can fail sometimes with a dead cell. Probably won’t happen again for at least 3 years.
  2. First, a moderator is just a regular poster who kills spam and keeps posters from attacking each other. Nothing more. My answers are facts, Paddles were deleted for cost cutting. They’re not going to put them back on or change the cruise control programming. It’s not a safety issue and trying to claim it is a safety issue is just silly. live with it or trade it are your only realistic choices.
  3. Well you should obviously get rid of that death trap ASAP. You'd have to ride the brakes for 5-10 minutes solid (at least) before they came close to being dangerous. Live with it or get rid of it. Whining about it won’t help anybody.
  4. If you're referring to the purge valve it's under the hood on the driver's side of the engine.
  5. Pricey but these should work well as an alternative.

    Mustang SUV

Let me repeat in case you missed it - this is a BEV - electric only vehicle with a range of 300+ miles. And it won’t look like that.
  7. There are a couple of scenarios where it wouldn't hurt to do it even under warranty - if the mfr refuses to consider it a defect and refuses to replace it or the replacement parts have exactly the same issue. In that case I would just do the modification and not worry about it.
  8. I think what they're referring to is that Race Chip doesn't change the ECU programming so it's "theoretically" undetectable. But that's not really an issue. Race Chip and any other external device may or may not work because all they can do is modify existing sensor inputs and that limits both what you can do and the effectiveness. Personally I think they're snake oil. A tune will advance the timing and customize the A/F ratio for safe power increases among other things. IMO it's the only way to go and Livernois has a great reputation especially with Ecoboosted Fords.
  9. Whatever it says on the label in the drivers door jamb.
  10. The problem is the PTU and other systems are not built to send that much torque to the rear wheels for sustained periods. Just won’t work. Go buy an Explorer ST if you want RWD and high performance.
  11. Which history - your 3 years or my 13 years? Stuff happens no matter who you use and it’s not easy to move that many websites to another provider. And this affects a lot of web sites not just this one.
  12. If you're talking about carplay you should state that so it's clear.
  13. They would need to respray the door to make it look right. I did a similar repair myself on our White Platinum Edge (2008) and it turned out great. Go to paintscratch.com and get a touch up kit that includes the base coat, mid coat and clear coat (small spray cans) plus rubbing compound, etc. Sand just the area you touched up. Then mask it off and spray the base coat until that area is filled in and level with the rest of the paint. Might take several coats for a deep chip. Sand smooth with 4000 grit wet sandpaper. Then expose a larger area at least 4-6 inches all around and spray another base coat lightly to blend with the good paint. Feather the paint towards the outside and stop before you get to the masking so you don't leave a line. Then do the same with the mid coat and 2-3 coats of clearcoat. Let it dry at least 24 hours and use the rubbing compound to blend it. Worst case if you mess up they'll just respray the door anyway.
  14. That's what I suspected. Otherwise it's a huge safety problem.
  15. I don't know if Forscan will override the lack of pinch sensors in the rear windows and allow remote operation. If it does be aware that if something (or someONE) gets caught in the rear window while it's rolling up it will not stop or roll back down. Could be very dangerous which is why it's not enabled from the factory.
  16. Any transmission engineer will tell you that if your filter needs to be changed that your tranny is already toast.
  17. Doubtful. The reason the Expy (and Navi and F150 and Ranger) do it is the 10 speed tranny allows you to lock out higher gears (as many as you want up to 4 I think) for towing/hauling. That's why it's displayed. It also means you can't manually downshift in D since the =/- buttons in D manage the gear lockout. I don't use the lockout feature as I don't tow anything with my f150 but I do like to see the gears displayed. Especially when they go up to 10.
  18. I don't like either one. I prefer to use Sync 3 for everything else including music. Just a personal preference.
  19. Don't disagree that it should be changeable but I don't think any of those scenarios are very probable.
  20. No because that is Ford's software - no licensing fees. Ford has to pay a 3rd party for new maps.
  21. Only if you leave the code in the glovebox. Take the card out of the vehicle and nobody but you will know the factory code. Problem solved.
