Only sync, but not sure exactly what you’re talking about with the service tech. Maybe you mean the pcm or the various control modules? Only rather dealer can update those.

If the OM calls for 80w-90:then that’s what you need. I’d change it. That’s a big difference in hot viscosity.

GT starts at $60,500.

BEVs are not suitable as only vehicles unless you’re willing to plan longer trips around charging stations or rent something for longer trips. As a second vehicle most will be fine with overnight charging

How often do you drive more than 230 miles per day? Would this be your only vehicle?

Get your glasses checked! I think it looks great.

Just the first edition model. You can still reserve the other models.

Update Your Gen2 Edge To The Latest Sync Version
akirby replied to Gadgetjq's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Yes, Waze works under Applink (it replaces the sync navigation when connected) which is separate from CarPlay and AA. I have not heard anything about wireless applink.- 43 replies

NO paddle shifters on the 2019 Edge FWD... WHAT??
akirby replied to tk2fast's topic in Transaxle (FWD)
Of course it was cost cutting. But Waldo is correct - what you're quoting is in the section on cruise control. We're done here. All we're doing is recycling the same arguments. I suggest you either learn to live with it or go trade it. Bitching about it on internet forums won't fix the issue or make you feel better. -
NO paddle shifters on the 2019 Edge FWD... WHAT??
akirby replied to tk2fast's topic in Transaxle (FWD)
Here is what we’re saying, It would be great if Ford included paddle shifters. They are useful for holding lower gears especially when descending a mountain. However, you can descend a mountain in D safely by using the brakes. Just let off of them every once in awhile so they don’t get too hot. Or worst case pull over for a few minutes. It’s not a safety defect, it’s an inconvenience. -

Get off my lawn you young whippersnappers! -
Nope. ST-Line. Appearance package with a few suspension tweaks. Same engine as the other Euro Kugas - 1.5EB, 1.5 and 2.0 Turbo diesels.

I'm 56 but it has nothing to do with age and everything to do with common sense. -

NO paddle shifters on the 2019 Edge FWD... WHAT??

Because he wanted paddle shifters but didn't do his due diligence before purchasing so now he wants to claim it's a safety defect so he can get a new one. -
Phone Volume Very Low (Microsoft Sync)
akirby replied to Miner's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Did you adjust the volume using the stereo volume control while on the call? -
All but the long range model including the "cheap one" are mid 5 seconds or faster with the GT around 3.5. The 2005 Mustang GT was only 5.2. It's PLENTY fast enough.
-
That was due to the previous software being really old and losing data when they migrated to newer software. Can't promise that won't happen in the future but that's the only time I've seen that happen across 4 or 5 similar forums over the last 15 years. But it's still up to you if you want to take that risk or not.
-
That's what most people will call it - Mach-E or Ford Mach-E. And it doesn't say Mustang anywhere on the vehicle.
-
I think you're completely wrong. This will appeal to EV buyers who don't particularly want a Tesla. It's not designed for traditional Mustang buyers, but the general public knows the Mustang name and they know it stands for Performance and this thing will outperform a Mustang GT. 3.5 0-60 and it has a super low COG thanks to the batteries. It's also super high tech - something that attracts buyers who would never consider a regular Mustang. Did they have to call it a Mustang? No. Is it going to hurt sales? Absolutely not. One dealer reported 25 pre-order deposits overnight. They're only making 45000 the first year and those will probably be spoken for within a week. Also - this isn't the last vehicle to wear a Mustang badge. It's going to be a sub brand with at least one more vehicle and stands for performance. Same for Bronco - regular Bronco, Baby Bronco (Bronco Sport? and a Baby Bronco derived truck - all wearing the same Bronco sub brand. It's called Brand Equity and as long as the vehicles match the brand image (performance for mustang) it should work.
-
Virtually identical to Model Y except the Mach E will be $6500 cheaper thanks to the full tax credit and 230 vs. 280 range on the top model. Same acceleration. The GT might handle better since they're supposed to be using the mustang's magnetic suspension and Ford Performance tuning. https://electrek.co/2019/11/15/tesla-model-y-vs-ford-mustang-mach-e-specs-comparison/

It's a tradeoff with cost. Unlike Tesla, Ford actually has to make a profit to stay in business. I saw a comparison chart where it matches the Model Y almost exactly in both price, range and performance.
