  1. I could see why a car lover who hates utilities would hate it, but I don't understand why someone who obviously likes the Edge would hate it.
  2. Nope. It’s in the module programming. Look into Forscan.
  3. I thought the ianium Fusion was closer to 4000. The fact remains that ecoboost engines develop most of their torque at very low rpm compared to the NA 3.5 and 3.7.
  4. Also a load Fusion Titanium like mine is over 4K lbs - same as the edge.
  5. Torque curves don’t lie. And we have the 3.7 vs the 3.5 in the edge.
  6. I disagree and I’ve owned both. 2013 Fusion 2.0eb and a 2016 MKX 3.7L. Floor both from a stop and it takes awhile for the 3.7l to get going.
  7. The 2.0eb has far more torque off the line and I prefer it to both the 3.5 and 3.7 NA engines. Drive one and I think you’ll be surprised.
  8. No need for a trickle charger - get a C-tek charger and throw it on once a week. They also recondition the battery as needed.
  9. Can almost guarantee the battery is bad. The BA7 will probably show it's really low on cranking amps and needs to be replaced.
  10. Ok I see now. I meant in case it wasn’t clear that those were Forscan codes.
  11. There was zero mention of Forscan in that post so anyone reading it who did not already know Forscan wouldn’t have a clue what those were. I was simply clarifying that. How that could be irritating is beyond me.
  12. These are the codes for the Forscan option I mentioned earlier. You’ll need a laptop and Forscan software and an OBD-II adapter.
  13. That is not a standard Ford or Lincoln feature on any current vehicles as far as I know. It may be possible to activate it via Forscan.
  14. Hit the button without touching the brake and manually turn off all the accessories
  15. What exactly does your receipt say was repaired and why?
  16. It's a bootleg copy in that it isn't supplied by Ford or recommended for this specific vehicle, not that the software itself is pirated. The point is if you brick the system you're on your own - that's a big risk for what seems like very little gain.
  17. Unless they’ve changed the design in the last 3 years that’s just how they work (or don’t work). It’s a known problem on multiple vehicles since 2015. One person even 3d printed a part for his F150 that helped but didn’t completely solve the problems. Ford had a TSB that helped a little. Will be interesting to see what he says. Make sure he knows there was a TSB for the 2016 Edge.
  18. Why would you risk installing a bootleg copy of the software and bricking your system? I didn't see any new features, just a map update and a different look.
  19. If you want to extend the life top off the fluid level once a year, get a Solar BA-7 type tester and a C-Tek charger/reconditioner and charge it once a month or so. Otherwise just plan to replace it every 3-4 years.
  20. Batteries in modern vehicles rarely last more than 3-4 years.
  21. Having the same symptoms on my 2018 F150. Gotta take it in for other stuff anyway.
  22. I’m going to guess that they had to add it for marketing purposes so they can call it a 8 speed and that was the fastest and/or cheapest way to do it. Thats the downside of starting with an existing tranny and not building a brand new one.
