I don’t think they changed the design - the same TED that heats the seats also cools them.
I think Ford just changed some of the wording to prevent customer complaints when they don’t cool well.
Wrong. Edge and Nautilus get the first gen 2.7 with direct injection only. F150 gets the 2nd gen 2.7L with dual injection.

Im sorry but that’s incorrect. Only the 1.5L dragon (3 cylinder) and the 2nd gen 2.7 and 3.5 in RWD applications get dual injection. All the rest including 2.0, 2.3, transverse 2.7 and 3.0 are direct injection.
I’ve never gotten more than 4 years from a battery, sometimes 3. It’s just the nature of modern vehicles and battery technology. I need to replace the one in the mkx now- it still works fine but the tester says it’s down from 850 cca to 450. Won’t be long until it’s completely dead.
Lots of folks with kids use laptops, DVD players and video game systems in the car,
As for buy an inverter and plug it in that’s exactly what this is, just OEM vs, aftermarket.
Not at all. We’re saying that we’ve seen very few if any aftermarket fan assemblies that actually work correctly. Most don’t work at all. Some work for awhile. I’ve probably heard of half a dozen or more dormans that were bad out of the box. But Ive never heard or seen an issue with Motorcraft. Has nothing to do with other parts, just fans.
It won’t hurt but there is no way you can tell that it’s making a difference unless you look inside the cylinder head at the back of the valves. This type of buildup on the back of the valves is t coming off with pressure and it builds up very slowly over time and won’t cause noticeable driving issues for years.
Not true (yet). Under consideration to be replaced with the new similar sized BEVs but that hasn’t been decided and probably won’t S is more of a negotiating tactic for the new union contract.
