  1. Does it have the kick to open feature? Seems like we discussed this last year and there was some technical reason why they had to leave that sensor in there.
  2. try unpairing your phone, doing a master reset on MFT and then reboot your phone. Someone else just reported ongoing problems with A7 cards so that might just be a bad card.
  3. They probably use the same door handles but without the actual sensor inside. I remember when that was announced I thought it was strange they were doing the push button start without IA.
  4. 2015 SEs came with push button start but did not come with the door keypad or intelligent access (lock/unlock by touching door handle). Sorry.
  5. That's a reasonable position but that doesn't apply to wheel bearings and that's not what you said originally. The only place I'm aware of repeated failures was the door latches.
  6. And my idea of a company not standing behind their product is denying warranty claims. Not refusing to give you a longer warranty for free.
  7. Knock off the personal attacks. No, bearings shouldn't fail at 27000 miles. Nothing should, but things do fail early all the time ON EVERY BRAND. Every brand has lemons, too. It's the nature of complex mechanical devices. Sometimes Ford extends the warranty on certain components and sometimes they don't. But outside of a government mandated safety recall (fuel tank) NO mfr is under any obligation to repair something outside the published factory warranty which includes both time and mileage. If you wanted more coverage (you can get up to a 10 yr, 100K mile warranty) you could have purchased it and you'd be covered. That's the issue I have. The warranty coverage you want is available but you chose not to pay for it and now you think you're entitled to it for free. The Edge most definitely has more problems than it should - no question there and that's on Ford. And it would be great customer service for Ford to extend the warranty on these recurring issues. I just don't think they're obligated to do that nor do I think other mfrs routinely do that either.
  8. I'm guessing it's some internal format such as the number of minute hours or days since a known date. In the Unix operating system it's the number of seconds since Jan. 1st 1970.
  9. That's because it's a man date. If it was a woman date it would be correct.
  10. iPhone or iPod doesn't matter - did you try rebooting it?
  11. Did you try scrolling down? I don't have trailer sway control so mine fits on one screen.
  12. Driver Assist-> Tire Monitor You may have to hit the left arrow to get back to the main menu
  13. Can't remember the exact menu but it's definitely an option on the left hand screen.
  14. I despise people who think they're entitled to something they didn't pay for or expect unlimited warranties. The bearings are covered by the 5/60 powertrain warranty. You had the option to purchase extended coverage but you chose not to pay for it and now you want it for free.
  15. It's called being objective and realistic. The bearings can fail early but it's not a widespread problem and it's not the end of the world.
  16. Not wrong but you should be glad they're showing up - that means the ok to buy has been given and they can start building pre-sold orders. Otherwise yours would be delayed even longer. It might be here sooner.
  17. Also - while Edge and MkX have had more than their fair share of problems the last few years, they're not all bad. Our 2008 Edge lasted 6 years and the only repair/problem was $100 cooling fan that I replaced myself in 30 minutes.
  18. You can't go German at the same price point and get the same size vehicle with the same features. Some of us actually like the Lincoln styling. The 2016+ MKX is noticeably quieter and more comfortable than the Edge with a lot of additional features.
  19. http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/PartDetail.aspx?n=JHqEZzx7FB%2fhTQt2LYsb9g%3d%3d&id=396258686&m=2&search=true&year=2013&make=Ford&model=Edge
  20. Nope, although valve covers may have been the only part I didn't replace at one time or another. That was a POS car but it got me through college.
  21. My first car was a baby blue 1975 olds cutlass with a white vinyl top and velour seats. So of course being a starving college student with no money I bought wire basket wheels and whitewall tires (the small strip not the big one) because a starving college student really needs a pimped out ride. While I was in college somebody stole my radio, pioneer dash mounted tuneup speakers and the baskets off my wire wheels. Curb feelers was about the only thing I didn't have.
