  1. We've had weathertech liners in our last 3 vehicles and have been very pleased.
  2. Offset is where the mounting flange sits relative to the inside and outside edge of the wheel. Tire rack should have a great explanation and you can find the offset of compatible wheels there for comparison.
  3. You're right! It's a safe bet!
  4. Third party is very very risky. Ford ESP is the only safe way to go.
  5. Why are you so hung up on this feature? If it's "useless" or "pointless" then don't use it - problem solved.
  6. Is there an outside button on the door to release it? If not then that's why it's on the fob. Otherwise it's just there because it's cheaper to include it on all vehicles.
  7. POIs are bundled with the map updates so they're not going to allow you to upload new ones for free. You might be able to hack the data files on the sd card if they're not encrypted/protected.
  8. Pretty sure struts won't lift a non powered liftgate all by themselves. If that was the case you wouldn't need the motor.
  9. I don't recall even hearing of a manual transmission Edge. Which engine?
  10. I'm willing to bet that those types of individual problems (or those only affecting a small group of vehicles) occur all the time and are either fixed before leaving the factory or fixed later at the dealer as a relatively isolated incident. I don't think this points to the same widespread problem as before necessarily.
  11. How is it supposed to open itself without a power assist? It's too heavy for the struts alone.
  12. Wasn't sure if the TB was just on the 3.5L. They have made PTU changes but it's too early to tell if they're still failing. At the very least they seem to be much better than previous models.
  13. Check the front carpet for leaks or mold/mildew - some 2015s had water leaks. There were some throttle body problems but they're covered by the warranty. You don't have a PTU (AWD only) so that's good. I'd say go for it if there is no sign of a water leak.
  14. Glad it's over either way. What was the msrp of the edge vs. the F150?
  15. Perhaps the salesman can help you with a deal to trade it in after it's fixed.
  16. Not true. My 16 yr old daughter totaled her 6 month old 2012 Focus and damaged 2 other vehicles. Geico gave us full replacement value no questions asked, paid for the other repairs and not only did they not drop us our rates didn't go up. Also, it's Geico not Guico.
  17. You could try cleaning it with bon ami cleaner (the one that says safe for glass). If there is anything left on it that will surely get it off.
  18. Find out if the leak was close to any electrical components - that is supposed to be the trigger for a buyback as opposed to just a repair. But I do think it can be repaired with no long term problems (provided no electrical involvement).
  19. That's the way warranty repairs work unless it qualifies as a lemon.
  20. Mold shouldn't be a problem if they replace the carpet. It won't grow on metal. The bigger issue is if the electronics got wet. At this point you'll have to wait and see what they do.
