  1. You should never pay MSRP for a high volume vehicle like a Fusion. Use the code above, go to Fordpartner.com and use the dealer inventory search to locate the vehicle at your local dealer and get the X plan price which is about $175 above invoice, give or take and should be at least $1K - $2K below MSRP. That price +/- $300 is where you should end up (before any factory incentives). To that price you'll have to add tax, tag and title fees and a dealer documentation fee (additional dealer profit) which can be anywhere from $75 - $700 or more.
  2. Never had a bad set of Michelins. Only downside is they're typically more expensive but you get what you pay for.
  3. Just make sure you don't actually request a pin - you have to show proof of employment or membership in the group for that code.
  4. The OP says it's not working. It would be good to doublecheck the settings though.
  5. In Hotlanta batteries rarely last more than 3 years for me.
  6. Probably a weak battery regardless of what they told you. If you're doing a lot of short trips a weak battery doesn't have time to recover from the cranking load. If it happens again get a new battery. Everybody should have a portable jump starter and a modern battery charger nowadays especially if you do short trips and/or don't drive every day.
  7. It happens to us on dry days too. I think the calibration is just too sensitive.
  8. You could test the speedometer accuracy by setting your speed to 60 mph exactly and timing between mile markers. Should be exactly one minute.
  9. Shouldn't you take it back to let the dealer at least try to fix the problems before you give up? You shouldn't have to do it but one trip to the dealer isn't that big of a deal.
  10. Yes - ours will alert when there is nothing there but a low curb. And almost every time we're in the drive thru. Very annoying. Our 2008 edge had a permanent off setting but I think that went away around the 2011 model year. It's not terrible because you can just hit the dash button but yes it's annoying.
  11. All you can do is push the button on the dash to temporarily disable them. There is no permanent setting. Same problem with our MKX. I think they need a software update to desensitize the sensors.
  12. HardWIRE not hardware. Both must be connected via USB - it doesn't work via bluetooth only.
  13. I was able to download version 3.8 from the website several months ago.
  14. Both AA and CPMrequire hardwires at this time.
  15. 1 - no but if you screw it up and brick the system they may or may not fix it under warranty. Not likely but possible with any unauthorized update. 2 - I would think so but no way to know for sure. 3 - Not if the software is available OTA
  16. The APIM has a separate extended warranty.
  17. I think the 2.7L is the same except for tuning and being rotated 90 degrees. Or is it 270 degrees?
  18. I was referring to your statement that if you could get the v6 ecoboost truck engine that would be a different story - just pointing out that the 2.7L ecoboost V6 truck engine IS available in the Edge sport, but if that's outside your price range then the 3.5L V6 is a great choice.
  19. Our 2008 always seemed to get 17 in daily driving. Our 2016 MKX with the 3.7L gets 19.
  20. Did you mean the 3.5LEB V6 truck engine or the 2.7LEB V6 truck engine? The 2.7LEB is available in the Edge sport.
  21. I assume the software will be downloadable. The question is whether the usb hub requires dealer installation or if they'll make it an official DIY kit.
  22. Crash and emissions requirements have changed a lot since the Aurora was made. But Fords do not excel at mpg in normal everyday driving. I've found you need to do a lot of coasting where you get completely off the gas in order for the deceleration fuel shut off to engage to get max MPG. Driving downhill with a tailwind also helps a lot.....
